(no subject)

Why am online before work again? I'm trying to turn my internal clock around. I'll be better to go to bed early and wake up early, but this is not a pattern that comes naturally to me. (*grrrr*)

So, last night I watched the end of Get Ready to be Boyzvoiced (Hee! "Your my cousin!"), set up Nip/Tuck to be taped (man, it's already the S1 finale. I've missed like the last four eps, but I'm sure I'll be able to work out what's happening) and then went to bed at 10pm. I was probably asleep by 10.30pm.

So, my alarm went off at 6am, and I dragged myself out of bed at 6.15am, with the added incentive of hot omelette! Mum cooked it last night, and man, is that a nice breakfast!

Urgh... it's now 6.45am, meaning I need to go wash my hair soon, but I want to send a fic off for betaing first.

Am at work. Am very proud of myself for not checking LJ all day.

...Of course, I've still checked and replied to email. And I've wasted the last hour editing beta'd fics (Yep, I'm editing porn at work. Heh.).

...But all in all, I've been a better worker than I usually am. Now, I'm going to eat, and then face the natural light outside. And, hopefully, return this arvo and do some more work.

(You know, my whole new "early to bed, early to rise" routine may be a really good idea. *shrugs*)

Random betaish things:

- Apparently, I have quite a thing for Dan's voice. (Can you blame me?)

- My tenses? Are getting better. They're not straying quite as wildly as before.

- I am, however, comma-crazy. Is there a place, in a sentence, where I could possibly add a few commas? I'll add them.

- I now have a dislike for the word world. I know what I mean, but I can't think of a better word for it. It's okay, because I have time, and an impressive online thesaurus, on my side.

- You know you've been editing your fic for too long when the beta-readers comments make you crack up. "Dan’s dialogue gets kind of crazy" made me giggle like a loon. I'm just imagining lines of text running around, yelling "We're craaaazy!".

(It's almost like one of those irritating TV ads. "Today only, there's a sale on Dan's dialogue. Prices are low, it's got to go. It's crazy!" Okay, possibly, this is only amusing inside *my* head. *g*)


Mind you, regardless of how unappreciative I sound, shoshannagold and meadowlion rocked my world. Those babes did great betas!

Okay, this whole early to bed thing sucks because I can't stay up and read half the stuff I want to. *sighs*

Fine. Am going to bed. And going to sleep.

(Meanwhile, I started another SN WIP on the way home. This may not be good... It's like every time I think about Justin/Brian, my mind comes up with more Casey/Dan snark.)
