You know how you come across stories and it takes you a moment to realise they are completely, utterly *crack-inspired* and yet, they *work*?  I've had that moment today.
First, when reading 
How the Ghosts Stole Christmas and realising that it's a story that crosses Nip/Tuck with *Due South* and makes it *work*.  (Like, really, really work.  In a way that had me giggling and chortling and a little horrified, which means it hit the Nip/Tuck vibe well.)
And then, it was Master/Commander slash.  The 
The World Turned Upside Down (which is the fifth part of one of those five things that never happened stories that I adore) by

I'm even more amazed that I just wrote the phrase "gender-switch MPreg fic that is really, really *good*".
