Yeah, I have no taste in TV...

Guess what I watched last night?
Dawson's Creek.
Yeah, you heard right. Dawson's Creek.
It's a bad show. I know this. It was only because it was so bad that I started watching it (the logic of the time was that it's hard to bitch it out if you don't know what's going on). Of course, last season, I barely sat through en entire episode. (I caught two episodes, just in the hope that I'd get to see Mitch's ice-cream related demise... I didn't.)
I had no plan to watch it. It just came on and I thought, what the heck, might as well. And you what? I kinda enjoyed it. Part of this is just because I didn't watch any of the Dawson scenes (I was also watching Enterprise on tape, so it was a war between dodgy shows) so that helped it become the "Jen, Jack and Pacey Show" which I enjoy far more. The little scene with Jack and Pacey talking about moving out was highly amusing ("Don't censure on my account. I am a card carrying friend of the gays.") and made me remember my old fondness for Pacey/Jack fic.
Nice to see that Jack's finally getting some action. should I be surprised that this entire plot development was basically Jack herding some cute guy down the stairs? I haven't seen last season, but I'll eat my hat if it showed Jack doing anything more than kissing a guy, once.
The really bad thing about this tale? I'll probably watch it next week too. (Admittedly, I plan to just flick the channel for any Dawson/Joey scenes, but still... this is not good, my friends.)

Date: 2003-08-21 11:56 pm (UTC)Well, I didn't know, I just flicked, and there it was. Well, I missed the start of the ep with the Joey voiceover, and tuned in just in time for Jen (Yay Jen! Cutest gal on the show... *g*)
Mind you, I'm amused that after three (or is it four?) seasons of Jack being gay and barely getting more than a kiss a year, he's suddenly a slut sneaking out last night's pick up past Grams.
