I think the original is better in many ways, but I like a lot about the US version (including Brian), and I don't equate the characters anymore :)
Yay for you! I just... everytime I watch the US one, within three episodes I end up disliking the characters and bitching about the show (apart from Ethan. And come S3, they're going to screw him over too. *pouts*)
Certainly it helps that I've just seen QaFUK and that the repeats on SBS of QaFUS have only just clicked over to S2. I'll agree that by the end of S1, the two shows have certainly gone their own ways and seperated for good.
