NaNoWriMo hits when it's spring here, when the weather is warm and outdoor things become demanding (even if those outdoor things are wandering around in the warmer sunshine and enjoying the weather), and it's totally the wrong time to year to settle down with a keyboard and attempt huge amounts of writing.

So we're planning on trying NaNoDownUnder in May next year, if anyone cares to join us.
