Okay, when I start wondering about cutting my hair, definitely time to go to bed.
I have straight long hair, and I was noticing that the first inches either side of my part, are pretty broken. I mean, it's a side effect of long hair and split ends that the hair at the top will always be thicker than the ends, but it's far more pronounced in those sections. So, I'm looking at it, and thinking about cutting it into a mini-pageboy type thing.
You know, cutting those sections of hair about the level of my chin, so that when I have my hair up, or back in a plait, these two sections at either side give the impression of being a pageboy, even though the rest is long. It'd frame my face, and would probably look good, so it's a great idea, apart from one crucial factor.
I have having hair in my eyes. When it's out at home, it's not so bad because it's long enough to generally stay back. When it's out at work, I'm bending over desks (Don't be dirty. I didn't mean it like that!) and leaning over my computer, so it all falls in my face and drives me batty.
With that type of hairstyle, it'd be too short to tie up and back, but it'd still be long and thick enough to be really damn annoying.
And so endeth the lesson. Don't touch the hair, because a shorter style would be far more hassle.

Hope you're in bed by now - I make it that you had three minutes from posting this to get into bed by the time you promised!!! Maybe it's a good thing your mother is coming soon - it'll save me from mothering you!
