Another day sick off work. So far, I've spent all my time trying to fix my website into something at least halfway presentable. (After spending an entire morning doing this, however, I'm considering just finding everything and linking to it.)
Of course, this means not only a lot of stuffing around in FrontPage, but also trying to track down which fics I've written and where I've posted them. I'd also like to get them beta'd before I post them to the site, so I'm putting out a general beta request.
Anyone willing to beta:
-two short Sport Night fics? Thanks
celli!
- a short QaFUS/popslash fic (Justin/Justin)?
- a couple short West Wing fics? *bats eyelashes at
oxoniensis*
I'm going to add to that list as I find the fics... *g*

Date: 2003-11-17 09:02 pm (UTC)It's the piano fic I posted to your LJ, and a tie one I posted ages ago. I just need a second set of eyes to spot the major spelling mistakes and shocking grammar. *g*
Is it cool if I email those two over to you now?

Date: 2003-11-17 09:32 pm (UTC)Tie fic (http://www.livejournal.com/users/out_there/207797.html)
Piano fic (http://www.livejournal.com/users/celli/265839.html)
Oh, I also need titles for both, so I'd be overjoyed to hear any suggestions. (Anything has to be better than referring to them as "the tie fic" and "the piano fic" *g*)
*sigh* I can't believe it's taking me this long to organise my site. And I haven't even started on the SV section... *wails*

Date: 2003-11-17 10:13 pm (UTC)Thanks for the hugs. At the moment, I'm just so glad I'm such a slow writer. If I had something new finished every couple of weeks, I'd have gone insane trying to track it all down.

Date: 2003-11-18 01:50 pm (UTC)Actually, the WW aren't too bad (I looked over them and briefly edited) but I'd love a second opinion to fix what I missed. There's just four short (ie. under 1000 words) fics that haven't been beta'd...
They're already up on the website (because I got lazy *g*) so you can just take them from there.
A friend in Need (http://www.geocities.com/annie-lee.geo/wwsnfic/friendinneed.html)
What They'd Do (http://www.geocities.com/annie-lee.geo/wwsnfic/what.html)
Not Quite (http://www.geocities.com/annie-lee.geo/wwsnfic/notquite.html)
Recording History (http://www.geocities.com/annie-lee.geo/wwsnfic/recordinghistory.html)
Hmmm... and just to prove how dodgy my work monitor is, the index page and fic pages show up in different colours on this screen. At home, the site matches perfectly. *g*

I find the way things look different on different computers very annoying.
BTW, AOL is playing up like crazy at the moment (I can't even send email via them), so if you need to email me, use Signe@oxoniensis.popullus.net

Date: 2003-11-18 03:03 pm (UTC)Heh. Well, in my defense, I didn't *realise* I had that many little ficlets sitting around on LJ. As for which to beta first, no biggy.
*sudden thought* Oooh! DON'T BETA "Not Quite". It doesn't contain S4 spoilers so much as shout them from the rooftop. Just as well I remembered.
Ooh, and "Recording History" is vaguely spoilery too. I mean, it's a brief mention of Will, but the rest is mostly conjecture... but not entirely.
Sorry, I totally forgot you haven't seen S4. I suck.
The other two are vague S1-3 gen. "A Friend in Need's" tiny, dialoguey fic and "What they'd do" is a small campaign fic... that you might have already beta'd now that I think about it... *thinks* I'm honestly not sure, so if it rings a bell, let me know.
So, there you go. From four down to two, possibly one. That's a bit better. *g*

Date: 2003-11-18 03:33 pm (UTC)I've read it. :-( Poor Sam. Nice fic though.
I won't beta it though if you don't mind, as I can sometimes forget storylines, but if I've betaed a story, I read it so many times it's much harder to forget. But I'll get on with the other three.
I'm finding it impossible to stay clear of spoilers in the nature of new characters and things like that. It's the same with Angel - both TWW and AtS I'm part way through season 3 while everyone else is into season 5, so nobody considers stuff as spoilery anymore!!

Date: 2003-11-18 03:39 pm (UTC)Yeah, the "History" one has a brief mention of Will, but it's basically speculation, not fact.
Mind you, if it makes you feel any better about "Not Quite", it's not actual canon, it's just suggested canon. *shrugs* It's all much of a muchness, really.
