out_thereOh man. Been back at work for forty minutes, and already I'm realising stuff that *had* to be done Monday. That I don't think anyone else knew about. Bugger.
Watched some of the AMA's last night. Random thoughts were:
- Someone needs to control the amount of caffeine and sugar that Hilary Duff consumes. She was virtually bouncing off the walls.
- I can stand Britney in behind the scenes type stuff, but on the AMA's she really bugged me. Although her performance was good for a laugh. The sexier these pop stars try to appeal, the more outrageous their outfits, the more ridiculous they look. If I'm spending my time pointing, laughing and cringing, Britney isn't quite acheiving her desired result. *g*
- Pink looked shocking. It takes real talent to combine an interesting dress, interesting hairstyle and glamorous make-up into something so grotesque.
- Lance looked... Can I say "sex on toast"? Yes, I think I can. The suit, the shirt, the smile, the *voice*. Definitely sex on toast. *raowr* (And, being the dork that I am, the next icon I want is a Lance one, "Totally addicted to Bass", since I couldn't stop singing that myself and smirking.)
- JC looked good. Admittedly, I was still drooling over Lance (that *voice*), but considering some of JC's fashion choices, he looked damn good. Also, I finally know how to pronounce his surname (Chaz-ZAY!). I've spent weeks avoiding it since I had no idea how it was pronounced. Now, I just need to remember it rhymes with par-tay, and fun-kay, and I'll be fine. *g*
- Since I'm mentioning the popboys, Justin was cute, too. In a smug, arrogant way (I wouldn't want to know him in real life because he'd bring out my competitive side), but he's kinda cute. *shrugs*
- "Hey Ya" by Outkast? I completely adore that song. Everytime it's on, it makes me want to get up and "shake it like a polaroid picture". I've replayed that section of the tape three times this morning alone.
- I was damn impressed by Clay and Ruben (sp?), the not-winners of American Idol. I can't say that we lack the same talent in our show (because I never watch it), but still I was really impressed.
- The fashions in general at the AMAs? Horrible. *shudders* People try to look sexy or cool, and instead they just look really bad. Really, really bad. It's like an awards show for those with bad taste. (Apart from Lance, Faith Hill, and a few others guys.)
