There are some fics that you know you could have written better, but you're too lazy to go back and fix, and it's been hanging around for too long to be enthusiastic about it anymore. This is one of them. If I put more time into it, it could be a far better piece, but it's flaws aren't enough to totally wreck it. At the moment, considering I've got so little time to spend on betaing or writing, I think I'm better just to fix it up and post this, otherwise it won't get done until January, and there's a chance that I'll forget about it altogether.
Considering that this headache has refused to lift (went to the doctors and apparently it's a virus. The reason I don't have the painkillers is a long and boring entry for another time), there's probably a variety of small errors that I've managed to insert even after
oxoniensis and
therealjae did wonderful jobs as betas. Hence, any great phrases are probably theirs, and the shocking ones are mine. *g*
Five Things That Weren't Comforting (or, Five things that never happened to Sam Seaborn).

Woohoo! *throws streamers*
It's been sitting on my PC, after being beta'd, for about a month now. So I have a feeling I've lost all objectivity about it. Hence, great to know it did work.
Oh, and personally? Number two's my favourite too. There's something about the idea of a happy Josh'n'Sam, working as lawyers in NY, that just makes me grin. (It could just be the lack of Mandy, Amy and Roslyn, but I think it's got something to do with the hot gay sex, too. *g*)
