But they looked like they were going to kiss about eight times - I got the feeling that they were holding back because of all the extras students milling around. That's not right.
Oh yeah, and you didn't see the scene in the strip joint last week. For two supposedly straight guys, it was so slashy. There's just something inherently slashy about a guy buying a hooker for another guy. The fact that Matt turned down the offer, and Christian went with the girl instead didn't help matters. The fact that Christian then couldn't get it up and the hooker teased/accused him of "liking boys" made me laugh out loud.
The problem is that those two are so slashy, and it's so *wrong*. I mean:
1) Christian is old enough to be Matt's father, literally. He went to college with Matt's father.
2) Back in the day, Christian dated and slept with Matt's mom, and still has a bit of a thing for her according to canon.
3) Matt is the underaged, 16/17 year old son of Christian's business partner/best friend. That's seriously bad for business!
4) Christian's a total het screw around, and hence, should not be slashy.
5) There were hints that Christian was sexually abused as a kid. (When they realise that one of their clients is a paedophile, Christian has flashbacks while standing in an elevator. The shot is basically a scared looking young kid - around 6 or so - standing about a meter in front of some older guy sitting in an armchair telling Christian to come over here.) It's not definitely stated, but I'd take it as a given, so it should be really *wrong* for him to be attracted to a kid that he's watched grow up.
So damn wrong. And yet with every passing episode, I'm tempted to write slash for them. I keep thinking that any time now, Matt's going to turn up drunk on Christian's doorstep and proposition him...
Oh, I don't want to think about why it's wrong! That just makes me feel pervy and bad. :P I'm happily in denial over the age issue because of the fact that the actor who plays Matt (aside from looking like a prettier Michael Jackson) is not at all sixteen. The rest I didn't really see in the one ep I watched, so I'll just live in denial until next week, when it hits me how horribly twisted the pairing really is. :P

(The really bad thing? According to a US fan, as the series goes on, there's more twists that just make this pairing more and more distasteful... So, I should enjoy the denial while it's still possible. *g*)
