One more Chrissy pressie bite the dust. Yay!
Of course, the Secret Santa is still hanging over my head... I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet, see what I can get done tonight, and email people. Because I won't get it all done, no matter how much I try...
Am going for lunch to pay bills.
Got a call from Mum. The fridge has been playing up, so Mum and brother decided to test if it was the double adaptor (since the freezer had stopped working as well this morning). They moved the plugs over, and thought the fridge was plugged in when they switched it on. In fact, it wasn't, and my brother went to plug in the fridge and gave himself an electric shock.
They've been to the doctor's and he'll be fine. Doctor said he'll be tired for the next few days, and that his arm may tingle for the next week, but there was no permanent damage.
Good greif. You forget how powerful (read: dangerous) our surroundings can be. Totally take electricity for granted, but apparently the lil' bro could have easily died from it... Not a good thought. Mum sounded shook up on the phone (Or, to be more correct, subdued. She's a nurse, and definitely not prone to panic.), but I'll talk to her more when I get home tonight.
Youch.
