Okay, I don't know which eps you watched, but it's a high quality sitcom/drama. The dislogue is wonderful, the characters are well rounded and interesting, and each episode is weirdly satisfying.
Some are more slashy than others. The pilot ep, with Dan's rant against Lisa really sets the slashy tone, but "Thespis" is wonderfully slashy with Dan sulking over Casey not remembering their anniversary (of working together *g*), and Casey revealing that he gave up better work opportunities to work with Dan... *beams at the guys*
Mind you, all this enthusiasm is coming from someone who hasn't seen all the episodes. I've seen about 10-15 out of the entire two seasons, but I love it dearly. (And, you know, I didn't believe a friend when she raved about it, and it was only my love of Sorkin's West Wing that made me watch it. Now I can't get Casey and Dan out of my head!)
