It's official. I'm heading up to Sydney on Thursday, the 27 of Feb with a return flight after my training on Friday at around 6pm.

My current sneaky plan is to let the boss organise the flights, and then call up the airline and try to rearrange them for Saturday or Sunday... That way, I have a chance to meet some of the Sydney Slashers (don't ask me why, but that term just makes me think of them as a basketball team... or possibly netball, in tiny skirts!).

After I rearrange the flight details (if I can and they're not booked out), I'm going to put out a general cry for accomodation. (As in: "Can I crash with anyone for the Friday night? Pretty please?") ^.^

Off to run errands...

You can stay at my place if you get nothing better. Note: No guest bed, just a cot, and no transport while I live about 30 minutes from the train station. If you don't mind hoofing it, or paying for a taxi, it's not bad. The train ride is about 20 mins from the city, so that's pretty good. Oh, yeah, and the rats, of course, which are a plus or a minus depending on your point of view.

(Unfortunately, I have the sinking feeling that work is going to be as cheap as possible and get non-refundable/non-exchangable tickets...)

But on the transport side of things, I live a short drive away, and often have car access, so I can play taxi some of the time :)

I'm sure they are. It's just a case of rats always brings to mind a combination of the (wild) rat that got caught in a mousetrap at my granddad's place, and the rats from Watership Down.

I'm going to try to think of Bernice's as the Rats of Nimh... *g*
