Le sigh.
It's the start of the new year and I'm feeling the lack of TV, people. My current favourite shows are Smallville, Farscape, The O.C., Angel and West Wing. Of these five series, two are screening the last season over here, and the other three are no where on my TV. (Sports Night is a fave too, but it's not being screened anywhere else, so it doesn't count.)
So, pity party, table for one!

Oh, all Melbourne slashers? I'm going to hold a movie night at my place (Altona) on Saturday, 7th of February, to celebrate the pure prettiness of Rob Lowe. Okay, well, I have a feeling that "View from the Top" will be so bad I'll need to mock it with someone, but it's still a good excuse for a get-together.
If I can get the videos, I'll also show "Framed" (which is kinda slashy, and surprisingly good) and "Masquerade" (for the pure shock value of John Glover without a beard).
I'll discuss it further on the mailing list, or by email, so let me know if you wanna come.

Why am I online before work? Got up to check on the SV tinyvision episodes. So far, no Asylum.
Le sigh.

Date: 2004-01-15 12:55 pm (UTC)I thought I'd warn you, in case you have even the slightest idea that View From the Top actually has Rob Lowe in it. His part was cut down to about 3 minutes, tops. Very pretty minutes, but still. Framed OTOH is a thing to behold. :)))
Moving on now...

Date: 2004-01-16 01:18 am (UTC)Thanks! It's kinda new, so I'm still psyched about it.
I'm just passing through and have no idea how I got here. But.
*snerk* Nice to see I'm not the only one who ends up on random LJs...

Bugger. I mean, my main reason for wanting to see it was Rob Lowe. Well, and Candice Bergen. And Mark... (played Riley on Buffy). And there's Christina Applegate. (Not that I have anything against the lead actress, but I wanted to see it for the assorted secondary cast.)
Thanks for the warning. At least I won't be too disappointed when I see it.

*nods* Yeah, I grabbed it from the video store just because of Rob Lowe, and was surprised that it was so *good*. I really enjoyed it. Hence, I'll be happy to watch it again, and to show it to friends.

Date: 2004-01-16 01:05 am (UTC)I didn't catch the article, but I could guess the basic gripe. Scifi and cult shows are always shoved into dodgy timeslots, moved around, and never given the same advertising/promotion as reality and drama shows.
