Babe, I used to watch Young Americans. I *know* how pretty Ian is (even if he'll always be 'Verve of the non-gay love' to me), it's just... on tinyvision, it's harder to see. Looking at oxoniensis's screencaps just made me squee!
Of course, I was so shipping the Lana/Adam love last night. This is due to: 1) It keeps her away from Clark. 2) It keeps her away from Clark. Okay, I needed to state that one twice. The first one is because the CLana flirtation irritates me, the second is because although TW and KK can act, they don't do it too well when it's only with the other. 3) Adam's so pretty! 4) Adam actually calls her on stuff. The whole 'not hiding behind thelittle girl act'? I mean, it may have been a bit out of line, but if he can get her to stand up for herself, I will *love* him forever. 5) I liked seeing her stand up to his evasiveness. I like the idea that she's not going to sit around and accept lies/omissions from other people. That she'll take some personal responsibility. 6) Semi-jealous Clark makes me laugh. The interplay between the two pretty boys is incredibly amusing. (And pretty. Really, really, melt-your-brain pretty.)
Of course, I also saw Delete as the theme of changing behaviours. Lex has a chance to change his behaviour, a fresh start if you will, and we're seeing him make the same type of mistakes, follow the same dubious paths to gather the information he wants. Clark's behaviour is changing, but not necessarily for the better. He's being more honest in his dishonesty to Chloe, he's keeping secrets from Lex. I think he's starting to see the lies themselves as not such a bad thing, rationalising and moralising them. And, Lana? Lana is being challenged by Adam to totally change the way she lets herself behave, to stand up and be counted.
Man, there is so much pretty in my show. *happy sigh*
