For a Monday, I'm oddly awake...
Feb. 2nd, 2004 09:17 amMy early to bed plan is basically going to bed at 10pm. Last night, I got on the computer at quarter to ten, and decided just to fix up the weird spelling in the dress shirts fic, and instead, started writing smut. I meant to just write quick notes on how I was imagining it, and write it later, but ended up roughly writing half of the scene. (Go, me! Of course, I’d waste hours on Sunday, and then start writing when I should have been in bed.) I was up until a little past twelve, and noticed a couple of similarities to the last SN smut I wrote:
1. I have a tendency to break my writing into bits. I write until one of them comes, then I stop. It’s like I mentally break the smut scene in half. *g*
2. I don’t know if two fics in a row is just coincidence, or habit, but I think I need to start being fairer to the guys. Next time, Casey comes first.
3. I have a slight oral fixation. (Admittedly, this isn’t restricted to my fic writing.) I still think that kissing is one of the best things in life (even if I don’t do it often).
4. I’m a big fan of… how did someone phrase it? The non-penetrative nookie. *g* I read everything and anything, but when I write, it’s more making out than anything else. (I don’t think that’s a bad thing.)

In Real Life news, mum’s moving out this week. She and the boyfriend got the word that they got the new place over the weekend. Hence, they’re moving down to Geelong. Just before she first came down, I’d had a couple of fannish gatherings at my place. Between someone else offering to have the next one at her place, and general holiday business, I haven’t held another gathering since. I have, however, organized one for this Saturday (Rob Lowe films). I’m amused that even though I didn’t mean to, I haven’t actually introduced mum to any of my slasher friends. It just worked out very conveniently.

Oh, just realised the other challenge I signed up for! I’m doing the flying challenge (have the quote, need to figure out which fandom that’s for, and when the deadline is) and I also signed up for the Remix Redux challenge.
Oh, god.
This… could be painful. (Um, not because of the fic I have to work with. I haven’t even had a chance to read through it yet. I’m thinking purely from an Annie’s Lack of Writing Talent perspective.) I’m imagining weeks of LJ bitching about how impossible this may be to do.

I'm the same way. I tend to write around the actual sex parts, but I'll read whatever comes my way. And I don't think it's a bad thing either. =:)
