Dudes, what the heck is up with me? I'm like... ADD-writer. Write for twenty minutes, get distracted by something for an hour. Write for another twenty minutes, get distracted.

I have no staying power this afternoon.

Bwahahaha!! I'm not the only one then! I think it's the weather. Wrote 2 paragraphs, took 45mins re-reading a fic I've just re-read last night (there needs to be more Draco/Lex out there), went back and wrote another para, check your LJ, and now I'm typing this. *shakes head*

I am writing smut. Today I've written about 900 words, but I've re-read about seven favroutie fics.

Mind you,, not the new fics I wanna read, just rereading old smut that I liked.

That's 450 words better than me. I edited through what I wrote yesterday and just finished one scene today. Re-read about 4 SN fics and that Draco/Lex one I mentioned. Oh, and sitting around the living room singing at the top of my voice along with the mp3 that's playing. That went on for about 15 mins.

Anyone who's writing anything's doing better than I am. I had writer's block for ... oh god, years, the last thing I wrote was Quantum Leap. My Powers came back long enough to write a half-dozen or so drabbles, and now they've gone again.

And yes - I'm whingeing. Let me just do it properly: "It's not faaaaaaiiirrrrr!!

There ya go. Right. Now, someone write something to amuse me, go on ...?

Well, I stuck to it all weekend. So, I haven't done the chores, the kitchen is a mess, and all I finished was a tiny bit of Dan/Casey smut with no redeeming plot, and very little snark. It probably wasn't the most productive use of my time... *g*

I know exactly how you feel. I get like two or three lines down then wander off and there goes my attention for the rest of the day. Sigh, it's very irritating.

Yes! Exactly. You have the time, but the inclination/inspiration is nowhere to be found.

You sit at work, and you don't really have the time to write, and yet that's when the ideas strike.

It's a vicious circle, I tell you.
