True to fashion, it wasn't until 9.30pm that I started working on beta'd fics and actually got something posted.

First, we have the beta'd version of That Guy up. It's interesting that it was written in my Casey-grudge phase (when I was about 2/3rds of the way through S1, and he was being a total git to Dana). My Casey-love has grown vastly since then.
"Take your hand off me now," Dan said darkly. Dan tensed under his fingers, but didn't actually move. "Touch me and you die, Casey. It is too damn hot."

Needless to say, I haven't done *any* housework or study, which was what was planned for this weekend. On the other hand, Mum and the second hubby came by today. (They've made up, so she's not moving in here.) And, it's nearly 1am, so I need to go to bed.

Too Damn Hot (see, I was thinking Kiss Me Kate, but that's Durn, nor Damn ... I think) is ... well ... hot ... Is this a result of all those showers you were taking last w/e? 'Cos if so, I'm sorry you had to suffer, but it was worth it. Love the wet, naked Danny image!

Heh. Well, mid-S1, Casey's highly dislikable. By S2, the emphasis has been put on Dana being nuts, not Casey being unreliable, so he's more likable. Plus, in S2 we get some of my favourite Casey moments. There's Casey with Charlie, there's Casey being a supportive friend in the bar, there's Casey honestly believing that bells and a siren will actually blare out his computer, there's the adorable montage of Casey being nervous around Dana at the start of the season. (I'm not sure if Casey talking about the haymaker from 3rd grade is S2, but I love that too.) See? Now I'm full of the Casey-love again.

Oh, I didn't even think of the Kiss Me Kate reference. I just got stuck for a title, and didn't want to wait days to think of a good one. But, yes, it is a direct result of the heat last weekend. I just figured Danny would deal with it the same way I would. Lots and lots of showers.
Mind you, it's also wish fulfillment. The one thing that would make an unbearably hot night bearable, would be Casey (or Dan) in my bed.
