Feb. 27th, 2004 03:23 pmI have coke. I am now wired, headachey, bleary and kinda cranky. I am however pleased that I now have a SN desktop (the non-text four colured pics one, if you're curious) on my work computer.
And, it's not obviously slashy, so I know Dan and Casey are MTB, but I don't have to explain that to anyone else.
(Surprisingly enough, I'm already considered quite a Leftie here. I think the term was "Chardonay Spirit-sipping leftie", which I find a little odd, because I always feel like the conservative one. I'm the *very* middle-class, white, conservative, Catholic-raised girl. At uni, in women's groups and queer groups, I'm certainly the more socially conscious, conservative person. Apparently, my version of conservative really isn't considered conservative. *g*
Then again, I work in an tax accountant's office, so I'm not surrounded by the most artistic or extroverted people around.)

Date: 2004-02-26 09:12 pm (UTC)I could bribe you with the fic of your choice. :)
Well, Tom Waits would say:
"But romeo is bleeding as he gives the man his ticket
and he climbs to the balcony at the movies
and he'll die without a wimper
like every heros dream
just an angel with a bullet
and cagney on the screen"
But for me, it's Daaaaaaaanny. Daaaaaaaaaanny bleeding.
(Okay, yes, we should all be worried when Annie's tired and wired on caffeine. *g*)

Date: 2004-02-26 09:28 pm (UTC)Well, my desktop request is: Danny and Casey as writers.
consider this a down payment...
Date: 2004-02-26 09:53 pm (UTC)Casey's reply was sleepy, muffled, and coming from the wrong direction. Dan double-checked; yeah, he was still pointed at the ceiling. But that meant--
"Alicia?"
"Yes?"
"Is there by chance a sports anchor on my floor?"
"Yes. And he won't get up!" Casey's yelp suggested that Alicia had punctuated the sentence with her show.
Casey staggered to his feet. "Careful, Alicia, or they'll take your candy stripes away."
Alicia, who was a registered nurse with a master's degree, told him in precise detail where he could stick his candy stripes and stalked out.
"Wow," Casey said.
"I hate it when she gets all anatomical."
"She called me Mr. McCall, did you hear?"
"She calls me Danny."
"Yes, well, she's seen you naked."
"She has indeed," Dan said smugly.
Even in the half-light from the muted TV, he could make out Casey's eye roll.
"So, Casey, why were you sleeping on my floor?"
Pause. "Because the chair was too short to sleep in."
"Why were you sleeping anywhere in my room?"
Longer pause. "The light in the waiting room was too bright."
Dan set his jaw. "And why," he said, slowly and clearly, "are you sleeping anywhere in this hospital and not in your bed at home?"
Especially long pause. "I should go apologize to Alicia," Casey said, already out the door.
Dan growled and rattled his IV stand, which was about as violent as he could get without setting off any of the many monitors still attached to him. "Casey, you shit, get back here. If you're gonna be neurotic, at least do it to my face."

Oh, babe. That *rocked*.
Okay, am definitely making you a wallpaper when I get home. Any preferences on:
- colours (ie. soft, muted dreamy colours, or bold colours, or mainly monochrome...)
- placing (ie. do all your icon live on the left side of your screen, do you need a lot of blankish space for icons...)
- use of quotes (ie. to quote, or not to quote? Do you prefer blank wallpapers, or those using quotes? Are there any particular quotes you'd wanna see used? Show quotes, or poetry, or prose of lyrics...)
Damn it. I wanna start right *now*.

Yay! :) Danny started talking in accounting last night and wouldn't stop.

hrm. hrrrrrrm.

One row of icons on the left and the Windows Office toolbar in the upper right.
- use of quotes (ie. to quote, or not to quote? Do you prefer blank wallpapers, or those using quotes? Are there any particular quotes you'd wanna see used? Show quotes, or poetry, or prose of lyrics...)
Something about writing would rock. Is there a good SN quote, or maybe a WW one?
Damn it. I wanna start right *now*.

Date: 2004-05-31 03:17 pm (UTC)Hee!
And I love that he's sleeping on the floor in the hospital room, but refuses to admit why to Dan.
And the jail scene - does that mean this is the scene from that season 1 episode where the homeless guy shows up in Dan's office, only an AU version?
