Mum update

Well, after being stuck overnight at Ceduna when the radiator officially died, Mum's just given me a call from Cocklebiddy. (Can I mention how much I love that name? Cocklebiddy. Say it aloud, and see if you don't snigger too. *g*)

This means that she's travelled from Victoria, through South Australia and is now in Western Australia (complete with the two hour time difference) and she's over halfway there. That's a good deal faster than expected.

Also, she sounds *good*. She sounds pretty happy, so I'm glad.

LOL! I've been to Cocklebiddy! It's a name you don't forget. *g* Also, possibly the most godforsaken place I've ever been. Not much there, but I seem to remember car wrecks out in the desert off the road. I hope your mother escapes soon!

*laughs* Well, mum was actually pleased by it. As she described to me, it was a town that had a pub, garage, motel and a *restaurant*. Since she's been driving over, she's been surprised by towns that call themselves towns, but don't even have a pub. There is something inherently wrong with that.
