Saturday night report

I am big enough to admit when I'm wrong. Dan mentions that he rode up 14 floors to see Rebecca, and Rebecca mentions she went up 12 floors to visit him, so I had announced, with some certainty, that they worked on the 26th floor.
Paying close attention to the floor numbers at the elevators, it turns out that Rebecca works on the 37th floor, and the SN group work on the 49th floor. So, Rebecca does travel up 12 floors to see him, but Danny's comment was that they were travelling in the elevator for 14 floors, not that she got off on the 14th floor.
*hangs head in shame*
Also, could someone who has the DVD's check something for me? First scene we have in the first episode of S2, has Casey sitting on the floor, writing and wearing a college sweatshirt. What college is it? I thought it said "Midwestern", but it looked like "Wyoming" last night, and I don't know if was Wyoming, or if I'd just been awake for 18 hours and was missing the details.
ETA: Just had confirmation on this (thanks,
kikiduck). It is Wyoming. Dudes, my attention to detail kinda sucks.
Went over to Genie's to watch SN with
deadspiders and
laylee, who are both very fun fen.
laylee wasn't the brunette I expected her to be, and
deadspiders has a Canadian accent. We watched a couple of episodes, and then a couple of episodes of "Big Wolf on Campus" (so slashy, so amusing) and then more SN episodes.
All in all, it was a great night, apart from the way my digestion system just abandoned me for a few hours. I have no idea if the feeling ill was due to a reaction to the aspirin based painkillers, a chill I'd caught overnight, drinking alcohol on a basically empty stomach, or a combination of all three. All the same, there were a couple of hours where I felt too nauseated to eat (but bought KFC and took it back to Genie's for later, which was a bright idea), and had to keep dashing to the bathroom between every second episode.
Later that night I felt okay again, and I feel fine now (not counting the headache and sore throat), so I'm guessing it was an allergic thing, or mild chill...
Anyway,
laylee left first, because she was sick with a cold/flu and starting to get sleepy. Genie stayed up a few more hours and then went to bed.
deadspiders and me stayed up watching SN. Well, we stayed up until 5am, and then figured we might as well just stay up all night, and get the train back in the morning.
I'm happy to report that
deadspiders reaction to Dana was "She's so cute!". To Dan, it was "He's so sweet", and both Casey and Charlie got "He's so gorgeous!". (Charlie was also called a "little nugget", which is still an endearment that makes me snigger.)
We watched *all* of S1, and then skimmed a couple of S2 scenes before we left at about 7am. Then, we wandered around as I was hungry and search of food, and
deadspiders wanted to drink coffee at Gloria Jeans. Because I'm a dork, I thought it was Saturday and they opened at 8am (it's Sunday, and they open at 10am), so we waited for them to open (I got a McDonald's breakfast, which was a thrill because I never really get a chance to eat their breakfasts, and then we walked around the block).
Realising the true opening time, we decided to call it a night, and
deadspiders got a cab home, and I got the train. Sitting at the train station for 15 minutes, waiting for my train, I could not stop singing "My, my, my, my, my Boogie Shoes!". *snerk* Fell asleep twice, which isn't unusual. Waking up to find I've drooled on my hand? Is unusual. Got home, crashed at 10am, and woke up 5pm.
In summary: I had a good time.

Date: 2004-03-06 10:59 pm (UTC)I did reply to this and thank you like half an hour ago, but... it's not showing up. How strange.
All the same, thanks!

Date: 2004-03-07 04:31 pm (UTC)It was fun. It'd be better if half of us hadn't been sick, but it was still good.
Bridget mentioned that we needed to have another night for S2, so maybe that time, we won't be sick.
