Just spent 50 minutes on the phone having the tax implications of RBL's and child allocated pensions explained to me. I still don't know much, but I know enough to be able to explain it to the client in simple terms.

You know what? 50 minutes on the phone getting it into my thick skull, and 15 minutes talking to client on the phone (and barely 5 minutes was spent on that).

Kinda typical.

*sighs*

I've spent all afternoon on the phone to someone or other, and now... I still haven't done the stuff I wanted to get done this morning. (But, I've done other stuff, so it's not all bad.)
