Randomy thoughts...

Am writing this update in Notepad. I'll post it to LJ later. (or, like, now, since you're reading it. But it was typed earlier, and it makes no difference to you, so go about your business folks, nothing to see here.)
The boss is busy, is out this arvo, is meetings all day tomorrow (apart from a one hour window), and I've actually been working this morning.
...Okay, you can take those shocked expressions off your faces. I do occasionally earn my salary.

Got home about an hour later than expected. Left work late and *just* missed the 7.35pm train. It was one of those moments where you think about running for it, and then decide that's too much effort. Anyway, the 8.05pm got cancelled, so I was stuck waiting for the 8.35pm train. On the good side, there was a busker at the station playing classical violin and he was really good.
I like the violin. It has such an emotive, human voice. It laughs, it sings, it screams, it weeps. I think it's my favourite classical instrument, despite the fact that as a kid, I spent years wanting to learn the harp. (No, I don't know why. It just really appealed. I never learnt, by the way, but I do have a rudimentary knowledge of piano.)
***
*sigh*
Stupid financial planning guidelines... Fine, go have a meeting about it, and get back to me in a few days time as to whether or not recommending this product does break your rules.
In my defense, I've found the really easy way to organise the payment of a superannuation life policy in order to avoid excess RBL taxes. (This was the cause of the 50 minute conversation with helpful Tax Geek yesterday.) The clients fill out two extra pages, tick a couple boxes, and they're set. Of course, the allocated pension fund it gets invested in after they die into isn't recommended by us, so blahdiblah, we can't recommend they do it.
*sigh*
I'll just have to sit around and wait to find out what I have to do.

Hmmmm... Don't even know if
michellek is on my FList. I think I need to wander over to her LJ and give her a friendly poke about betaing my reduxremix fic.
***
Oooh,
ahab99 pointed out that Charisma Carpenter is posing naked for Playboy. Mmmmm... I think I may spend some time drooling over those photos.

I want a KC and the Sunshine Band CD. I want to know more than one line of Boogie Shoes. I want to get drunk with Dana, play the CD up load, and dance to Boogie Shoes and Play That Funky Music and then try to do the Nutbush City Limits dance.
I know those aren't all possible, but it's truly sad that according to HMV, Boogie Shoes and Play that funky music don't appear on the same CD.
***
Genie made this Dan wallpaper. It's a little too colourful to suit my background, but it is full of the wonders of Dan.

And, now, I've lost all motivation to work. I was doing well this morning but I've lost it. Don't want to work. Want to just... avoid work. Read SN fic. Write more SN fic.
Just out of interest, I currently have quite a few SN wips. I'm going to list them to remind myself:
1) Homophobic fic - it's sitting in the back of my brain, and occasionally getting written on the train. Casey just swore during a c-break, so it looks like there's some resolution coming up. (Finally!)
2) Casey/Josh fic. Oooh, I don't even know where the start to that is. But, I haven't really thought about it since. I'll probably get back to it when WW starts screening again.
3) Longfic, also known as the therapy fic. David's wedding killed my fic. I've been stuck in a flashback for weeks, and... it's just... not happening. Damn. I thought I could write some good Dan/Jacob scenes, but I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew. I can't write Jacob. It's not that it doesn't work, it's that my mind shuts down before the words hit paper (or screen).
4) Dana/Lisa fic. I know the storyline. I know roughly what's going to happen, I just need to figure out how to go from drunken talking, to drunken smut. And, disapproving Danny's back, but I've bribed him with a cameo appearance in the fic. (And the unspoken promise that it doesn't matter if Casey's old friend sleeps with his wife, because in the eventual future, Casey will get a happy ending with Dan.) I choose not to think about the fact that I've started bargaining with my muses.
5) "Cacophony", otherwise known as the dancing Dan fic. Clumsy Casey, Dancing Dan and the Absense of Asterisks. I have a feeling Lisa may pop up in that fic too, but it's too early to tell. What I'm currently planning is so vague that it may never make it into the fic.
6) Hmmm... Well, there's the Donna pov fic, but that's WW, so I won't count it. *g*
Need to be edited and sent to beta (if you want to volunteer, I'll appreciate it):
1) Fairytale fic. I'm thinking "Once Upon A Time" for the title.
2) Partner fic. Not a clue of the title for that one.
3) ...I know there's another one, but I don't know what. I'm guessing it wasn't too important if I've forgotten it.
Beta *I* need to do:
1) Genie's SV fic. It's just... I meant to do it, then I got sick, and then uni happened. I want to finish it, but... *sighs* Maybe if I do it Saturday morning. I just need to be able to sit down and think critically about it.
Of course, instead of making lists, I could be writing something. The downside to that is if I start to write, I'll do it for two hours or so, and will never get the working buzz back. Instead, I'm checking and updating LJ, and waiting for lunch. *g*
