Well,
celli asked me about My Casey, but I have no One True Casey characterisation. Casey and Dan tend to change from fic to fic. However, I did come up with a few thoughts.
My Casey doesn't own a car. Lisa got the family car in the divorce, and he doesn't really like driving (especially not in NYC), so he never bought himself a new car.
My Casey lives in a one bedroom apartment within walking distance to the CSC building. He has a fold-out couch for Charlie to sleep on when he stays over. If Dan comes over to watch a game, that's where Dan sleeps too.
My Casey is extremely proud of his skill in speaking other languages, even though he doesn't actually get a chance to practice them often. He does, however, read books in French, German, and Spanish. Some of the books are literary classics, and others are just pulpy fiction (but Dan can't tease him about reading them because he can't tell one from the other).
My Casey votes democrats, just because he knows it matters to Dan (and because Dan spends the two weeks before voting trying to convince everyone in the office to vote for the democrats). If left to his own devices, he'd probably forget to vote.
My Casey doesn't quite see the appeal of wearing tightly fitted shirts. His brown shirt is tight because he washed it in hot water by mistake. He still occasionally wears it around the office because it was fairly expensive and he likes the color.
In high school, my Casey was tall and lanky, with big glasses and braces. He filled-out in college.
My Casey is an only child. He read a lot as a kid, and spent a lot of time entertaining himself, but was never really lonely. (He's never really thought about having a second child.)
My Casey doesn't have a sweet tooth. He likes savoury snacks, especially a nice cheese platter.
My Casey probably smoked pot a couple times in college. He didn't particularly like it; it made him feel goofy, and a little paranoid.
