- When adding carrots to a pasta sauce, it's better to chop them into small interesting pieces, than use a food processor to turn them into carrot mush. (If you do turn them into carrot mush, be aware that there's a *lot* of carrot there.)

- [livejournal.com profile] celli and I can spend many hours online, chatting about nothing, and avoiding writing. (But when we do eventually get around to writing, we rock! have a good time.)

- Watching Josh Charles films with company is fun. Watching them with someone half a world away and chatting on AIM is really fun, especially when both of us have the same first reaction to Threesome ("He's so CUTE!").

- Celli's Professor Intimidating will now always appear in my mind holding a lunch-tray.

- American's call doonas "comforters". ("Cooomforters. Comfooorters. Comforteeers." Nope, still sounds odd to me.) I already knew that Brits call them duvets.

- According to Celli, I came up with "the best analogy EVER" regarding my lack of set characterisation for Casey and Dan. We were talking about the ranges of Casey's that show up in my fic, and I said,

"[Casey]'s like the little black dress of characterisation.

As is Dan... Although, Dan may be the perfect pair of black heels.

So, you can wear the dress and the heels together, and they look good at any function."

- Playing tag with Celli is so much fun. *g*

So, yes, that was how I wasted today. Well, that and washed my linen, but still, no study. Ooops. (On the better side, I'm playing tag with Celli again next weekend, and we're going to watch Little City.)

Oh, I have to thank you for your Magickal Powers. You were watching Threesome, and a few days later Threesome got shown on cable over here; you were watching Little City and, good lord, what should be on BBC2 in the middle of the night next Friday but Little City ...? (I have it on DVD, but that's not the point.) I think there was something else - oh yes, you mentioned 'Being an Anchor' the day after I'd finished re-reading it too, that's just synchronicity or something.

Could you try reciting 'And then Hilary won the lottery and lived happily ever after' a few times, just to see how far it'll go ...? (Yes, yes, I know money doesn't buy happiness but, as my dear mother always said, it does let you be miserable in comfort ...)

I'll give it a shot.

"And then Hilary won the lottery and lived happily ever after"
"And then Hilary won the lottery and lived happily ever after"
"And then Hilary won the lottery and lived happily ever after"
"And then Hilary won the lottery and lived happily ever after"
"And then Hilary won the lottery and lived happily ever after"

(...You know, the problem here is with your logic. You don't follow what I say, you follow what I do. Hence, I think a day or so after *I* win the lottery and lived happily ever after, you should too. *g*)

Well, that'd work too. I don't mind other people winning and being happy as long as I get my cut.

Every so often I win £10. I can't help feel that someone, somewhere is taking the piss ...

Hee! Yes, I think they may be. Alternatively, I don't win anything, but I do feel lucky when I find 20cents on teh ground. (Hey, I come from Scottish stock. Finding money is *always* lucky. *g*)

Next week we'll have to start the avoidance earlier. *g*

I had SO much fun! I can't wait already.

*bounces* So much fun!

Well, with daylight savings ending, it'll be 11am my time already. I can't promise to be conscious any time before 10am on a sunday morning, but we can move it back an hour...

See? Now I have something to look forward to this week. *g*
