Officially, I'm no longer happy with slodwick. Her 1000 word challenge sounded great, but now I've got the fic written, revised and beta-read twice, and I'm short 50 words...

*sigh* I know. I was just getting ready to post it to you, then I realised that the terms were exactly 1000 words... (Surprisingly enough, that actually makes it a little difficult. I wouldn't have realised how tricky an exact work limit was. Hey, little section breaks don't count as actual words, do they? I could break it up into lots of really tiny sections! *g*)

I'll go back and see if I can flesh out the ending a bit...
