Hey, guess what? The boss is interstate tomorrow! *does happy dance* Not that I dislike him, I just dislike working. (I should use the day to catch up on work, but I think I'll end up writing.) This is advanced warning on the spam of tomorrow. *g*

broadwaymusich2 requested an SN het fic from me. Huh. It's Natalie/Jeremy, and they are an adorable het couple, but... You know me. I'm not big on the het. (And every time I say that I feel like such a close-minded bigot, but it's true. I like my slash and femslash. I haven't read het porn since... well, since I discovered yaoi/slash.)
Still, I've made a start. Now, it would probably be a good thing if Jeremy or Natalie actually appeared in their fic. *sniggers*

ETA: Do you guys think it's tacky/dodgy/lazy to have a website that has direct links to LJ for fic? I'm thinking about this because I *never* update my website (ie. I have about 15 SN fics that aren't listed there. *cringes*).
Normally, I use Word to turn the fics into html files, with the same background colour and font as the rest of the site, but it takes time. Specifically, for me, it takes *hours* to do a couple pages. (I'm not quick at web design stuff. Never have been, never will be.)
Now, the two alternatives to spending hours updating, or giving up on the site entirely is to:
a) Redesign it and make it as bland and simple as possible. (As quite a bit of time went into the pictures/background, I don't really want to do this.)
Or,
b) Directly link to the fics in LJ (on
inthetallgrass). I already do this with the drabbles anyway. On the good side, LJ makes feedback easy. On the bad side, it's kind of a cop-out. *shrugs*
Would you believe that once upon a time, I had a plan to figure out how to use frames to make the site super-spiffy? Needless to say, it never happened. Although, looking at it now, I remember that there's something dodgy about the colour scheme, and that I need to update the images section too. (All of the SN images are hosted on Photobucket now.)
Now, I need to stop putting off going home. *shrugs* Don't know why I do it, I just like being online when I have the office to myself.

Date: 2004-04-14 01:56 am (UTC)1) I was 15/16 at the time
2) I never bothered finishing it
However, I should probably also admit to writing a songfic back in those dark and dusty days, and it was *not* good. *laughs*
