A quick update of my weekend:

- Had a blackout on Friday night. Was not impressed. Sat around the house from 7 to 8.30pm realising that I couldn't do anything. I couldn't cook tea, I couldn't watch Buffy or Angel, or Hornblower (I'm now two episodes behind...), I couldn't surf the net, I couldn't listen to music... I just realised that there is very little I can do without electricity. I couldn't even have a bath, because I didn't trust myself to shave by candlelight!

- On Saturday, I spent the morning arranging NY's holidays for me, mum and younger brother. It'll be really good, if I remember to go in this afternoon and pay the rest of the deposit.

- Saturday night, around 11pm, I realised that I hadn't returned Schindler's list from last weekend, and decided to watch all the Amon scenes again, since I'd probably have to pay for a week anyway... I take it back about my comments on the slashiest scenes. The slashiest scene is probably the second last time Schindler sees Amon (set on the balcony again, and there is actual physical contact between them... *g*). I am not writing more SL slash. I'm not. Really... I have SV stuff to do first...

- Sunday was stuffed because I didn't sleep much the night before (see above for reason why *g*). Completely forgot about Hornblower, so I'm so glad that mum reminded me. Basically, we'd just watched Angel, stopped the tape, and saw Hornblower on TV.
Mum: Isn't that the show you like.
Me: Yeah... Hornblower.
Mum: Do you want to tape it?
Me:... That'd be good.
Mum: Why don't you just fastfoward after Buffy, and tape it.
Me:... okay.

(As you can see, I wasn't really thinking. Woke up this morning and almost kicked myself for forgetting that I have a Hornblower tape with two episodes so far, and that I was going to tape the new ones on it.)

- Now we're up to today. I'm tired due to not getting to sleep til 2.30am (hot day, by the time it cools down enough to think, I should've already been in bed.)

Why is it that I basically did nothing, but my friends have managed to write 50+ entries! None of us have lives, do we? *g*

Meanwhile, I actually have work to do this arvo, and I've already used up my lunch hour, so I'll have to fix the fic sometime tomorrow, tboy. Sorry.

In the good news, I'm coming down to iibnf's this Friday! Yay for me!

Tboy says that on Friday we're taking you out for drinks.

Veronamay says that on Saturday we're taking you bookshop crawling then to Oxford Street. At that point we all abandon you and come home. You might want to talk to Tboy, as she's marching - perhaps you can march with her? We all feel terribly guilty about abandoning you at that point, but we're all afraid of crowds. Yes. All of us.

On Saturday, Erilyn said you should be taken to yum cha.

I'll be busy on Friday night until about 10 or so. You guys should probably go drink somewhere so I can come meet you!

Re Marching. It's a possibility - I'll have to phone the BGF people to ask what the go is.

Annie - On Saturday are you doing yum cha, bookshops then Oxford St? Assuming the BGF doesn't mind, I could tag team you at that point :-). I'll ring them tomorrow to make sure of details, okay?

And I'm just a little amused at the fact that there's a crowd of us who are afraid of crowds. *g*

I'm normally wary of crowds myself, but the likelihood of me being in Sydney again over mardi Gras is pretty slim, so I should check it out while I have the chance.

Of course, if Tboy can't mind me, I'm far too chicken to stick it out myself. ^.~
