I'm procrastinating. Gakked from [livejournal.com profile] happyminion who nabbed it from [livejournal.com profile] blunaris.

WRATH

Who did you last get angry with?

Huh. Probably Mum.

What is your weapon of choice?

Sulking, glaring, mumbling under my breath like an idiotic teenager. Not a mature or a gutsy way to be angry, but it's what I do.

Would you hit a member of the opposite sex?

Well, not seriously. I have in a more mocking/lighthearted way.

How about of the same sex?

Again, not seriously.

Who was the last person that got really angry at you?

Mum. We get on, but sometimes, we argue. Normally, we both come back that night or the next day to apologise, so it's no biggie.

What is your pet peeve?

Nicknames in fic. Oh, in real life? Um...

Obvious intolerance/lack of respect; that sense of deserving, of being somehow *owed* by life/society/whatever.

Do you keep grudges, or can you let them go easily?

Let 'em go pretty easily. No, that's a lie. When it comes to Mum, I don't hold a grudge. When it comes to friends who backstab, I don't hold a grudge so much as cut them out of my life. Ditto for Dad, I think.

But, it's not something I consciously hold on to, it's just that I don't want to be around that type of person. It's self-protection and a good sense of survival.

SLOTH

What is one thing you're supposed to do daily that you haven't done in a long time?

Floss. Exercise.

What is the latest you've ever woken up?

Um, 4.30pm, since I didn't go to bed until about 6am.

Name a person you've been meaning to contact, but haven't.

The insurance person re: the old fridge that broke down. Since I now hav ehte info needed, I need to contact her soon.

What is the last lame excuse you've made?

I'll just do one more meme, and then I'll get into this assignment.

Have you ever watched an infomercial all the way through?

Yes, when sick.

When was the last time you got a good workout in?

*mutter* *cough* Um... I did half of my pilates tape about a month ago...?

How many times did you hit the snooze button on your alarm clock today?

Three.

GLUTTONY

What is your overpriced yuppie beverage of choice?

Iced chocolate. Mmmmmm...

White meat or dark meat?

I'm pretty damn fond of beef, fish, chicken, lamb... *g*

What is the greatest amount of alcohol you've had in one sitting/outing/event?

This would be a house party I attended while in Canberra. Got so drunk I physically couldn't turn without landing flat on my back. Ended up throwing up in the toilet and pasing out. Luckily, friends cleaned me up and put me to bed, and then I spent the next two days regretting it.

What did I learn from this? Shots are the devil's drink. *Never* do shots with more than one person. (I was doing shots with three different friends. I don't think they *realised* that I managed to have about five or six shots over about forty minutes. I got real drunk, real fast.)

Have you ever used a professional diet company?

Lite'n'Easy for about two weeks. Ended up too expensive, althoug it probably would have worked.

Do you have an issue with your weight?

Technically? I'm 5'5" and 90kg (14 stone?). I am *not* a slender girl, and I come with thighs the size of medium tree-trunks. I should be dieting/exercising, but I really *love* my food, and I don't like having to physically move. (At the moment, I'm thinking my guilty conscience will eventually kick in and I'll get some enthusiasm to lose weight, but it's not happening any time soon.)

Do you prefer sweets, salty foods, or spicy foods?

Sweets and savoury. I can't stand spicy stuff, but I have both my father's taste for savoury (especially cheese and dips... Mmmmm...) and my mum's sweet-tooth. All in all, I'm best not to have snacks in the house.

Have you ever taken food "to go" from a buffet?

*thinks carefully* I don't think so.

LUST

How many people have you seen naked (not counting movies/family)?

One. (Oh, actually two, but for the second I was so drunk I can't remember much.)

How many people have seen YOU naked (not counting physicians/family)?

One, I think. (As above, due to the drunken one night stand, it could be two.)

Have you ever caught yourself staring at the chest/crotch of a member of your gender of choice during a normal conversation?

Yes.

Have you wanted someone who was taken?

Damn, yes. Major lust/crush on a girl with a boyfriend? Not a good thing.

What is your favorite body part on a person of your gender of choice?

Hmmm...
Both: Lips, eyes...
Guys: Necks, shoulders, arms...
Girls: Breasts (and the collarbone area just above), hips, legs, stomachs...

Have you ever been propositioned by a prostitute?

*snerk* No.

Have you ever had a one night stand?

See drunken mentions above. *g*

GREED

How many credit cards do you own?

None. Had one, and mum leant me the money to pay it off, on the understanding that I wouldn't take out any more. So far, I've kept our deal.

What's your guilty pleasure?

Apart from fics/slash?
Potato cakes - the perfect combination of potatoes, grease and salt.
Chocolate
Creamy "light" icecreams - taste great, and no guilt about indulging.
Bananas - the king of fruit
Cheese - for I am a mouse at heart

If you had $1 million, what would you do with it?

Seriously? Buy a two or three bedroom place in Melbourne for Mum and me. Somewhere closer to the city, on the East side. Ideally somewhere on the Jolimont train line, so I wouldn't have to take a train & tram to work. (Huh. Probably about $300-350k.)

Buy Mum a new car, since I don't drive. (Say, $50k, and what she doesn't spend, she could put towards car maintenance, insurance, whatever.)

Put away, say, $50,000 for my little brother. Put it into a bank account somewhere, and give it to him either when he gets married or turns 25. (Ideally, don't tell him that I won the money until after he's moved out from Dad's place.)

Discuss the remainder with Mum. Maybe put aside $100-200k into her super, so she's got some security for her old age (which she doesn't at the moment). Probably put the remainder into investments (a combination of high growth multi-manager funds and term deposits).

Hmmm... at 5%, the return on $400k would be about $20k a year. I don't know if that's quite enough to retire on, so I'd probably still work. (I earn $25k pa before tax, so $20k would be enough to support me and mum, but it would be a little tight. We could do it, but it would probably be best for me to keep working.) At least Mum wouldn't have to worry about getting work, and she'd have super for her old age, and somewhere to live, so it'd be a bit better.

*sigh* Wow. That's shocking that I could win $1M and still be thinking about working. Kinda sucks. Maybe we'd just live on a tight budget, instead... Or, make a plan for me to work for ten years, until Mum started being supplimented by her Super. That would work. And, I'd be reitred at 33, which would be damn cool.

Would you rather be rich or famous?

Rich.

Would you accept a boring job if it meant you would make megabucks?

Boring? Yes. Stressful? Maybe not. I could do a boring job for cash, but I wouldn't want to work myself into the ground for cash. (As we can see, I'm not a career ladder-climber.)

Have you ever stolen anything?

Yes. Stupid bits of random shoplifting (like a bread roll as I was walking around the supermarket.)

How many mp3's are on your hard drive?

*shrugs* I don't know. Fifty? Maybe 70?

PRIDE

What's one thing have you done that you're most proud of?

Probably my high school TER result of 92.45. Dude, best in my school, and it's not a result to laugh at.

What's one thing have you done that your parents are most proud of?

Hmmmm... Probably the same thing. Sometimes, I think Mum is more proud of the fact that I quit my job in Canberra and came down to buy the house in Geelong with her because she needed a second person, but... there were a lot of things about that which could have been handled better, and I didn't deal with the responsibility of ownership very well, so all in all, I don't think it's a proud thing.

So, yeah, probably high school results.

What thing would you like to accomplish in your life?

Being happy. I just... don't have any major ambition in life. If I can be happy and content, I think that's my main goal.

I'd like to finish this damn degree, I'd like to keep my job, I'd even like to eventually have a girlfriend of my own, and maybe a kid or two, but... Life isn't planned. Just because I'm not against those things happening, doesn't mean they *will* happen. I don't have a major ambition to make them happen, and if I could look back on my life, the one thing I'd like to say is that I was happy. That I enjoyed and loved my life, even if I didn't do what everyone else did with theirs.

Do you get annoyed by coming in second place?

Oh, yeah. My ego is a nasty side of me. Take high school for instance. In the girls Catholic school, I was just one of a crowd of gifted students. I would have needed to put in real effort to be at the top of my class, and really...? Who wants to work your heart out just to be second-place?

When I moved to the co-ed, working class public school, I was one of the brightest kids in my class. I worked hard to be the best, and it paid off. I like being *the* best. I like standing out amongst the crowd, if I'm going to work at something.

I mean, I know it sonds odd when I've just admitted my lack of ambition, but that's the compromise. If I get ambitious, it's ego-driven, and I do it to prove to other people that I'm basically better than them. If I squash down the ego, and look around and realise that everyone's basically the same - everyone has skills and talents and flaws - I'm happier, I'm more relaxed, but I'm not motivated to do brilliant things. *shrugs*

It's also related to why I love writing fannishly, but hate the idea of doing it professionally. I'd get totally into the personal competition of it, if it was professional. Whereas in fandom? I know I'm not the best writer/artist/meta-thinker/web designer/whatever, and generally, I'm happy to inhabit my own little space, with my lettle group of friends and co-writers, and just have fun doing it.

Have you ever entered a contest of skill, knowing you were of much higher skill than all the other competitors?

Possibly, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Have you ever cheated on something to get a higher score?

Does Solitaire count? Um, I've plagarised little bits of essays and assignments (not from other students, but from text books and research), but I don't think I've ever cheated on an exam...

Um, actually the public service exam I did years ago. I kept writing after they said pens down. Yes, I am a woman of minor sins.

What did you do today that you're proud of?

Oh... I'll let you know when that happens. *g*

ENVY

What item of your friend's would you most want to have for your own?

Um... I'm coming up with a blank. See, there's a reason I don't have stuff. For anything I could think of wanting, say so-and-so's DVD player, there's a good reason why I haven't saved up and bought one myself.

I work hard at keeping the inner envy out of my heart.

If you could be anyone else in the world, who would you be?

Me. *shrugs* As much as I love certain actors, I don't want to be in the public spotlight (I would turn into a superficial, nasty person), so I wouldn't want to be them or their respective spouses. I don't think anyone else has a better life than me (because deep-down, I'm pretty happy), and it's... greener grass on the other side, y'know? Whoever else's life I picked, there'd be things about it that I hated. At least with mine, I already know the stuff that annoys me.

Have you ever been cheated on?

No.

Have you ever cheated on someone?

No.

Have you ever wished you had a physical feature different from your own?

Smaller thighs. Let's make that a slimmer body in general. I like my skin, and my facial features.

No stretch marks across the boobs, hips, stomach, thighs. (I've probably got them other places, but I can't think of them at the moment.)

My current peeve is the size of my nipples. I can't help thinking that if I had smaller nipples, my boobs would look bigger in comparison. But, that's a minor greivance that's only bugged me for the last few days, so it's not a biggie. (And, I'm not being totally insane about this. My nipples are two inches wide/tall/whatever. I'mnot incredibly large on the chest - 16B - so that's pretty damn big.)

*thinks*

Toes! That's what I want changed. Screw the rest of it, I want to change my toes so I no longer get ingrown toenails all the time. Those suckers hurt.

What trait do you see in others that you wish you had for yourself?

This is tricky, because most things I could have if I put some effort into them. Being a principled person? I'd love to be principled and self-directed, but it's easier not to be. Being observant, would require paying more attention to the outside world, instead of my slashy imaginings.

Ummm... being physically co-ordinated. I think that if I wasn't a total clutz, I'd enjoy sports more, and I'd be more inclined to exercise. Also, I wouldn't trip over things and walk into things. That could help, too.

What is your favorite deadly sin?

Sloth. I indulge in it frequently. *g*
