Sorkin remixes... (SN recs)

I am incredibly amused that the Sports Night remixes are all slashy, and the West Wing remixes are all het. *sniggers*
Well, to be honest, the SN remixes aren't completely slash, but the Casey/Dan slash sneaks into all three. And I'd recommend you you go read all three right now.
Firstly, there's Five Pictures That Were Never Taken (Overexposed Remix) which rocks, but I mentioned that before. *g*
Secondly, there's (I Can Turn You) Inside Out, a highly interesting remix of Oro's Outstanding. It's Dan/Sally but the slash still creeps into it:
And you want to hurt her, want to fuck her, want to take back what she's taken from you--No. From Dana. Never from you. You never admit -- not to Dana, not to Abbey, not to Lisa, and not even to yourself -- that you want Casey.
(tall and beautiful, milk-fed Midwestern boy, everything you're not and never will be, graces you with his presence, his friendship. Not right to want more, want him, his body next to yours, moving over yours, skin on skin and sweat-soaked sheets and jerking off with his name on your lips. Not yours. Never yours.)
I tell you, that last paragraph does things to me, things that shouldn't be repeated in mixed company.
Thirdly, there's Who Writes Letters Anymore? (Reality Check Remix) which is a remix of To Casey, On His Thirty-Fifth Birthday. Okay, hands up who *loves* To Casey, On His Thirty-Fifth Birthday.
*looks at all the raised hands*
Exactly. The original fic rocks in that bittersweet way (the wanting and not having that just hurts), so I was highly doubtful of anyone being able to remix it successfully. This unknown author remixed it successfully and left me sniffling. It's a perfect heartbreaker of a story.
The new doc (Beryl Goldfarb, there was a name no one was ever going to be calling out in excitement or joy) had told him to write a letter, and he was going to. He was. But not now. Not in the middle of the day, right in the middle of a goddamned script, sitting in his office with the reason for the letter chuckling at his own supposed wit only feet away.
*hugs her fandom* I love my slashy boutique fandom.
