"Is it my imagination," Dan said, watching Casey furiously sharpen his pencil, "or are you in a bad mood today?"
Casey glared. Not just an everyday, stage 1, 'please stop being annoying' glare, but a stage 10, 'be quiet or I will kill you' glare. Considering it was only four thirty, that was quite an impressive glare.
"What's up?"
"I'm sick," Casey growled.
Dan grimaced. Casey didn't deal well with physical discomfort. This was going to be a long day. "The flu that's been going around?"
"You know why it's been going around?" Casey demanded, flinging his pencil down and crossing his arms.
"Because it's an air-borne virus?"
"Because people keep showing up to work sick. It's selfish!"
Dan had to work hard to keep a straight face. "Selfish?"
"It's how I get sick."
"And now you're sick?"
Casey glared at him again. "And they call you the observant one."
"And you're at work?" Dan asked. "Selfishly spreading the virus to me?"
"That's different."
"How?"
"I'm only here becau-" Casey grabbed a tissue as he sneezed. "Dana couldn't find a replacement."
"It's going to be a long day, isn't it?"

*giggles* Thank you, Celli. That's the first time I've laughed all morning.
