I'm taking a lunch break, and spending half an hour replying to email posts.

Summary of study? Accounting Theories is what happens when accounting academics have far too much time on their hands. I ask you, what is the practical use of a theory, that *can't* be compared to reality and that is too radically different from current practice to *ever* be implemented? It's only purpose is to annoy the hell out of accounting students.

Oh, and I found out that this site isn't a rec for my story in Chinese, it's my story *translated* to Chinese. I have managed to have my fic posted in a foreign language, without actually having to learn said language. Go me.

Huh. Answered my emails and I have five minutes spare. I think I'll try to catch up on a little LJ before I go off and eat.

(And, yes, still got the flu, but now have more cold'n'flu tablets. *hugs medication*)

Yeah, I spent most of financial accounting hearing, "theory would dictate that blah blah blah but in reality...not so much." Um, okay. *g*

*hugs you hard* I'm glad you're being good with studying, but I miss you!

Miss you too! *hugs*

*looks at clock guiltily* Damn, I've gotta go offline again. (Who'da thunk that I'd miss LJ so much?)

Umm... well, if the current system has a complete and utter breakdown, at least then there are other altanatives that can be put in place. Or they might just be a more efficient way of doing things, just that the practical still needs to catch up with the theory.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a fan of theories. The possibilities are endless. ;)

That's because you're an idiot.

Okay, that's just harsh.

The point is that the practical will *never* accept this theory. It's... It would require a fundamental shift in the *purpose* of accounting.

It's like...trying to re-write contract law to mainly protect outside parties. It's insane.

It's an example of someone taking two assumptions, following them to their logical conclusion, and coming up with a completely insane solution.

Totally insane.

LOL! Ok, so I know completely next to nothing about accounting and you're probably right.

As for contract law protecting outside parties, well, I'm pretty sure there's this branch of contract law that does that, but God if I can remember what it's called.

I guess the theories that I liked are mostly from cultural studies... which is ALL theory anyway. Heh.
