You know I don't often recommend het. It's a very rare het fic that both makes me believe in the characterisations *and* keeps me interested enough to read the end. This excels at both.
When it comes to Nip/Tuck, it's impossible to deny that the real "pairing" of the show is the constant triangle between Julia, Sean and Christian. For most of this fic, I kept expecting that it would end up involving Sean, but in the end, it was Julia/Christian. It's well-done and a very satisfying post-S3 (oh, is it S3? All I know is that it was the last season screened in Australia) fic.
Even if, like me, you avoid the het on general principle, try Quiet, called Love by fryadvocate. It's well worth it.
