1. What does your first name mean?
Annie - derived from Anne meaning graceful or full of the grace of God. Considering how clumsy I was, and still am...? Heh.
2. What does your middle name mean?
Lee - Meadow
3. What does your last name mean?
Not a friggin' clue... (And after checking on the 'net, it's not common enough to be listed).
I'll take a guess and say it's probably the direct phonetic meaning of "grey stone". (It's either that, or it has something to do with a town in Burgundy, France, or a modern version of an Irish name.)
4. So what does your name mean when put together?
Graceful meadow filled with grey stones? Grey stone in a graceful meadow?
5. What would you have been named if you were the opposite gender?
Considering I was going to be named Lee anyway, I think it would have applied for either gender.
6. Any other name oddities?
I was going to be named Lee, until mum saw me. She said that I looked mischeivious, and reminded her of her friend Anne, who she always called Annie, hence my name. When I went to school, all the kids shortened it to Ann (which I hate), so we hyphenated it to Annie-Lee (which kids frequently shortened to Annie...). These days my signature still says Annie-Lee but I generally refer to myself as Annie.
Interesting tidbit is that I have two female cousins who also have Lee as a middle name (Diana and Michelle).
