Drabble Meme

Since I requested a drabble from
celli I can't welsh on the payment side of this. So:
MEME: The first fifteen people to comment on this post get to request a drabble from you. In return, they have to post this meme in their journal. Post all fandoms you’re willing to write for.
Fandoms: Heroes, Jeeves & Wooster, Sports Night, Stargate Atlantis and House are probably the mains ones. But if it's a fandom I've written before, I'll happily take a shot (or say quick smart if it's beyond me).

Date: 2007-10-21 02:45 am (UTC)Some Days (SGA, Zelenka)
Date: 2007-10-22 04:06 am (UTC)There are other days when McKay still yells, still insults, still waves his hands around and compliments his own genius simply because he is Rodney McKay and sees it as his god-given right. Sometimes, Radek has slept well and will humour him; other times, he will sit at his desk and mutter Czech curses under his breath.
Other times, when McKay will not be quiet, will not stop crowing about his latest success -- when Radek is tired and sick of working for an egomaniac -- Radek will be a little devious. When McKay points to the items sitting unclassified on his desk, and asks why it's taking him so long to finish with them, and has Radek even started them because McKay is brilliant and has finished his work, Radek will shrug and say, "No time to experiment, Rodney. Have not looked yet."
He will let McKay grab at the most interesting looking one, will let him take it back to his workstation and start to poke it, and he will not once open his mouth to say, "We already know what that one does." On days when McKay is particularly boisterous, particularly obnoxious, no-one else in the lab will warn him either.
So McKay will prod and poke, will attack it the way he attacks food and then will be amazed when he loses his voice for six hours or his hair turns blue.
There will be complaints for hours about this always happening to him, that he must be unlucky and asking why it is always him who provides amusement in the mess hall. But the flailing hands will settle, the yelling will soften and the self-congratulation will stop... at least for a few days.

Date: 2007-10-21 02:28 am (UTC)Sundays (Heroes, Matt/Mohinder, Prompt: sleepy sunday)
Date: 2007-10-21 04:08 am (UTC)Sundays are for lying in bed until 11am while Molly helps herself to cereal and watches cartoons. It's for getting up in sweats and a t-shirt, frying eggs and bacon for lunch. It's for opening up the curtains, letting sunlight creep across the living room, a warm breeze blowing through the screen.
It's for lounging across the sofa, flicking through the paper as Mohinder sits on the other end, feet curled under him, book open on his lap. For Molly waving her legs in the sunshine, lying across the floor, with Mohinder's laptop open and headphones on as she taps away chatting to Micah or playing Sims.
Sunday's are quiet, the sounds of the city feeling far away, drifting softly through open windows. They're slow and sleepy, a relaxed day when they're safe from the world, content to waste hours.

Date: 2007-10-21 04:01 am (UTC)"The Pot Calling the Kettle--" (SGA, McShep, prompt: kiss and make up.)
Date: 2007-10-22 06:09 am (UTC)"Better than being suicidal."
Carson sighed. He tried reading from the top of the page.
"Suicidal, suicidal? Me? If that isn't the pot calling the kettle--"
"There were a dozen guys with spears, Rodney!"
Carson had been trying to read this articled for the last half hour. But he had Rodney McKay and John Sheppard in his infirmary. Having those two constantly within hearing distance made reading -- or just thinking -- extremely difficult.
"I had a gun!"
"You had no bullets."
"They didn't know that."
Sighing, Carson stood up from behind his desk. After four attempts to read the same paragraph, it was time to either admit defeat or give them each a sedative. The sedative seemed the far more attractive solution.
"They would have known that very soon."
"So you decided to charge them? To physically run into a group of burly men holding spears? That seemed like the smart option to you?"
"It was better than returning with a McKay-shish-kabab."
There was silence. Carson paused at his doorway, enjoying the moment of pure, utter peace. He debated giving the pair sedatives anyway -- it would make his afternoon a great deal more relaxing -- and then stepped sideways to peer behind the privacy curtain and check the two invalids (who had been incapacitated not by spears but by avoiding said spears and rolling in that planets' version of poison ivy). John, ever the rebel, was out of bed and leaning over Rodney, pressing his lips to Rodney's forehead, which was the one part of his face free of the bright red rash.
Pretending to ignore the illicit kiss, Carson closed his door and went back to his desk. He managed to read an entire paragraph before he heard:
"You need to stop taking us to planets where the natives are stupid and carry spears."
"I'll work on that, Rodney."

Date: 2007-10-21 07:43 am (UTC)Bwahahahahaha. Or something.
Prompt? Dan and Casey, lazy Sunday.
Sunday Traditions - SN, Dan/Casey, prompt: lazy Sunday
Date: 2007-11-29 03:39 am (UTC)Partly because weekends are full of sporting events, so more often than not, they're working. (And when they're not working, Casey has Charlie overnight. That puts a slight crimp in the Sunday morning lie-ins.) So ‘staying in bed' these days means getting up at 11am and rushing to get ready for work.
Dan would be happy with that. If it wasn't for Casey's habit of calling his mom.
"It's nine in the morning, man," Dan grumbles as Casey sits up beside him. "Why do you do this every week?"
"It's a tradition."
"Only because you do this every week."
"Hence the tradition," Casey says, starting to dial. "I call my mom once a week for a good reason."
"Because you're a momma's boy."
"Because it's before church, so she can only talk for half an hour. I get to be a good son without having to chat for hours."
"But you have to wake me up at nine," Dan mutters, pulling a pillow over his head.
It doesn't work very well. He still hears Casey say, "Hey, Mom, it's me. Good, good. Yeah, Danny says hi."

Oh, and needless to say I loved the story. It's one of my favorite AUs in the fandom.

Actually,
I have to admit I've never used iTunes, so can I ask how the file will be stored? I'm just wondering if there'll be a direct link to it somewhere online; if so, I'll add it to the fic post in case anyone else wants to hear it.

iTunes is just the popular Apple software interface a lot of people use to handle their audio files and transfer them to their iPods.
