I'm having "fun" trying to get the upgrade for Windows Media Player to work. The computer kept mucking up and not downloading it, so here we go again. *sigh*
Was just about to do the washing, and realised I'm out of Drive. Bugger. I'll need to go to the shops and grab some things, so if I get the upgrade downloading, it'll save me time.
Meanwhile, I just spoke to mum, who's currently less than thrilled about her move to Canberra. Really, she decided to move there to get away from the ex-boyfriend in Geelong, and be closer to my brother. (The downside of that is that's she's also closer to her ex-husband, and unfortunately, both Dad and Mark can really take advantage of her generousity.) There's not anything I can do about it, I just wish that she wasn't feeling so lousy up there. I did encourage her to go, and now I'm wondering how solid my advice was.
Of course, since she's moving up there, I'm going to have to do something about my car and my place. I have a car, but I don't drive. I really have no intention of driving, and always walk to the station anyway, so I need to sell the car and get rid of the worry. As for the place up here, it's a two bedroom place, and I could afford it on my salary, but only just. Hence, I really need to see about getting someone to move in. *shudders* Housemates.
I love living alone. I love the space and the freedom. But I'll be too pushed to be able to afford it. I could look for a place to share, but then I've got to move the furniture. We still need to work out what furniture mum wants to take. She was going to leave most of it here, but it's going to be far too expensive for her to replace everything, so that probably won't work.
At the moment, I have my stuff spread across both bedrooms, so I'll have to tidy up the place. But the second bedroom is still set up as a bedroom, which means I'm going to have to work out how to clear it of the furniture. If my car's gone, I can just stack it in the garage I guess.
I'm not looking forward to having to organise this stuff. Crap. Well, I'm not doing it today. Today, I'm just going to go down the street, get the housework done, and have an early-ish night.
