I've actually always been of the camp that believed Ianto was sleeping with Jack almost right from the beginning. I think Ianto is a much colder, less stable person than maybe the average TW fan does. Canary Wharf messed him up, and getting involved with Jack Harkness could have done nothing to improve his mental balance.
