Work, damn you. Work!
May. 28th, 2003 10:39 amOfficially? LJ hates me this morning.
This is the third time I have typed this entry. Was I cluey enough to copy it to word? No. *groans*
So, summary time!
WW last night?
- Watched it because WW is on my mind after joining the WW writing community,
inthetallgrass.
- Probably was the last ep of Sam. Aw, bye Sam. I'd miss you more if I'd seen the rest of this season, but I'll watch the tapes later and mourn properly then.
- I like the Sam replacement (Will?)
- CJ keeps looking better and better. Seriously. The more seasons pass, the better she looks.
- Woo! Christian Slater! Yeah, I still harbor a crush from Heathers and Kuffs. *g*
WW S1 - "Enemies" (I think)
- Still dislike Sam's S1 hair. I mean, really, really dislike it.
- Not fond of CJ's either
- Intrigued by Josh's comment to Sam in the Oval Office when arguing about the banking (mining the heck out of one of those states) bill: "We always knew that Sam would start selling off entire states one day, but I always hoped he'd start with Dakota." Not an exact quote, but you get the gist. Hmmm... I'm still thinking about it. I have a feeling that the Sam and Josh of mynon is fairly far from those of canon.
Real Life & Work
- Co-worker's last day (probably) today
- They're thinking of combining our jobs and getting someone in under me. (Which could work, but I won't have much time for LJ updates any more... *g*)
- Asked if I have any friends interested in the position. It's basically a Mon-Fri, 9-5.30pm, office work job just outside of Melbourne (Jolimont). Any takers?
And this time, I'm copying this into Word before I post, just in case...
ETA: Errors everywhere! Should all be fixed now. There are reasons I should spell check and check LJ codes before posting. *rolls eyes*

Date: 2003-05-27 06:34 pm (UTC)No, it isn't your mynon vs canon, in my opinion. It's like they hadn't decided on the Josh and Sam characterisations quite yet. It clashes badly with the later idealistic despite the practicalities!Sam that we see more of later. To me, it's like they gave the lines the wrong way around :)

Date: 2003-05-27 07:04 pm (UTC)I was wondering if it was really having a go at Sam for sacrificing important things for the greater good, and likewise showing that even though Josh wants to do the right thing, he's more motivated by personal ego and not letting someone else win/push them around.
All in all, I'd say both of those points are fairly close to who I see Josh and Sam as being. But still, it's the 'always knew' portion of it that's still bugging me...
I can't help wondering if it was a running joke when they were campaigning, something everyone laughed about. If so, it makes Josh's comment far less personally spiteful (which it feels to me)...
And, it makes me want to rewatch the episode, and drabble...
