Icons here I come... tomorrow.
Jun. 16th, 2003 11:04 pmOkay, so not only did I miss Alan Rickman on Micallef, I missed Jim Carrey on Denton (I was curious) and totally forgot about QaFUS. *rolls eyes* At least I did manage to tape the Hugo Weaving Aussie drama to watch sometime later.
My latest fannish project is doing a series of icons to song lyrics. (Can we tell I'm announcing it to remember to do it?) I want to do a Lex focused series, with the lyrics to "You're so Vain" by Carly Simon.
I've wanted to do something like this for a while, and it's a good way for me to improve my dodgy manip skills. I mean, I'm never going to reach Slod's level, but it's a bit lazy not to improve my skills just because I'll never be the best. (But that logic doesn't apply to sport. I don't like it, I'm not good at it, I don't have to try. *g*)
The thing I really want is a good graphics program. (At the moment, I've just got Adobe PhotoDeluxe which is... difficult especially when making it icons. It's unweildy and blurry.) I think I'll check out how much Photoshop 7 costs. *thinks* Maybe buy it for myself as a birthday present. We'll see.
Workwise, the audit wasn't as painful as expected, so yay! I'm pretty exhausted, so I'm going to bed soon. I have a personal theory that vivid dreams do not regenerate you. I woke up pretty tired and I'm blaming it on my weird Sam, Josh and Toby as adventurers (think Indiana Jones) dream. Highly odd. I couldn't see any of those guys doing their own plumbing, let alone exploring sewers, so I don't know what my subconscious was thinking.
Oh, thinking of the boys, Spring Break by Anne Higgins is my absolute favourite how Sam met Josh fic. Even if it's a bit Jossed by "Somebody's going to Emergency...", I still love it. *g*

Date: 2003-06-17 12:23 am (UTC)It's not a bad program, and I enjoy the way you can undo as many steps as neccessary, but it has the bad side effect of making my computer freeze. *pouts*
