Does anyone have any suggestions on a good way to find an SPN beta these days? The downside to one-off writing in fandoms is not knowing the fannish hangout spots to ask fro editing volunteers.
It's a non-powered modern AU, so current canon isn't even a big issue. What I really need is characterisation (does it feel like Cas and Dean? Sam and Gabriel?) and a good eye for story structure. (Think of it as a rom com or an extended meet cute. It's nothing heavy or meaningful and under 10k words, but that still needs good pacing to work.)
Oddly enough, SPN has always been a DVD show for me. I've never managed to watch more than half a dozen episodes on TV, and I tend to forget about it and then catch up in a rush. And there's a good chance I missed s6 and s7 altogether. I'm very hit and miss on it, but I had an urge for au meet cutes and found there weren't a lot of stories around that hit that note. (It's a write what you want to read thing.)
