I don't remember that at all.

Remember I mentioned my fear of peanutbutter? Yesterday, while talking to Mum, I mentioned this to her, and how I don't like the smell. She said that the reason I can't stand the smell is probably because it's connected to my fear, and she can remember that she couldn't even make peanutbutter sandwiches with me in the same room, without me getting upset. (I can remember that even at 15 or so, I couldn't make peanutbutter sandwiches for my little brother without feeling nauseous.)
Then she told me that I had tasted it. I have no recollection of this, whatsoever. But, apparently as a little kid (like 2 or 3 years old), she gave me smooth peanutbutter to try. My reaction? I stopped chewing/swallowing/breathing, turned bright red and started looking pretty distressed. Mum got me to spit out the peanutbutter (thinking perhaps that I was alergic to it, or something like that). From then onwards, she just reinforced the idea that "Mummy likes peanutbutter; Annie doesn't like peanutbutter".
Hmmmm... It's highly interesting because I don't remember this at all. I can remember explaining to a little boy (I was probably 3 or 4 at the time) that I didn't eat peanutbutter because it stuck your mouth together, which is why I can remember the fear.
Yeah, this was probably only intriguing to me.
In fannish stuff,
happyminion has written the next in the Young American cousins series (Clark and Hamilton are pretty, pretty cousins) and I'm resisting PaintShop. I want to play with these boys, but I also want to post the next section of the WW fic tonight. So, no staring at pretty boys until I finish writing smut.
*sigh* Such a hard life. *bg*

Date: 2003-07-13 03:41 am (UTC)Actually, if you'll be around in half an hour or so, I should be able to post the next bit of the WW fic, so you can let me know what bits of the smut don't quite work (ie. my *muttergrumble* tenses, that keep shifting...)
You know, these boys need to take vows of celibacy, just to make it easier on me. *g*
