On Day 18, I wrote a poem, "Nation Tree," about Afghanistan.

I'm letting my brain have a break from "Snake Riders" before I do a thorough content edit and, hopefully, figure out the ending. I have a short story idea to flesh out and two rehabbed older short stories to final edit and find venues for, so it's not like I don't have work. I just felt like I needed a breathing day, so--poem!

Been very busy on the 17th, ~850 words nonfic plus a bit of alibi words of fic. Today has been A Day; I got a very nasty mail regarding a former volunteer job I did full of false or overdrawn accusations, although I have no clue about the intention of the mail. I needed to answer to it, though, as it was so nasty and unfair it really affected me. I managed a very good reply, great balance between remaining polite and putting the finger where it hurts (according to my writing buddy who read it) that I feel this was also a good writing exercise, and decided to count it. It's 2,5k long! /O\ But no fic words whatsoever today, not even alibi ones.
