Rob Lowe may be joining Arnold Schwarzenegger's California campaign. This is the most amusing news I've heard all morning.
You know, now I really want Arnie to win. *g*
(Finances are a big thing in this campaign, so Arnie's choice of economic adviser would have me supporting him anyway.)

Date: 2003-08-15 08:38 pm (UTC)It amuses the hell out of me. Rob Lowe just played a character running for politics in California, and now he's supporting someone else...
I'm easily amused.

Date: 2003-08-16 06:40 am (UTC)While I don't think there should even be a recall in this case, I also don't think that being a movie star precludes someone from having political ambitions, and if they're serious about governing, I'm willing to hear what they have to say.
I'm just grateful that R. Lowe waited until he was a "private citizen" again before getting involved with stumping for candidates. It shows a definite lack of self-importance I find absent in every other WWinger the last few years. ;)

Well, a lot of politics seems to be a combination of appearance and knowing the right people. As far as I can see, Arnie seems to be serious about it. Even if he doesn't have formal political training, he seems to be employing people who have the necessary skills and knowledge. To me, that's a highly practical way to succeed.

Heh. Suddenly makes me glad that I haven't really followed the other WW cast (outside of WW, I mean).
