Admit One

Argh, it's nearly 2am, and I'm expected at work at 8.30am! I've got to get some sleep. (Although, I have realised that Neil Finn is the perfect music for staying up late on the computer to. Fast and enough changes to keep you awake, mellow enough not to exhaust or distract. Pretty good combination. *g*)

Finally got it finished. This is the cover to Gigi Sinclair's Admit One, because I adore a Lex who isn't all grown up. Let's admit it, the boy's only 21-22, he's got a good while to go before he achieves the level of maturity that so many SV writers give him.

Will Geocities show this? )

I'm going to bed with thoughts of straddling MR. (For details, check [livejournal.com profile] tboy's LJ...)

I was being clever, and emailed myself the updated boozefest fic, so no more excuses. Opened up the email, and had forgotten I wrote to myself. (Don't forget to beta read that SM fic. *glare* ) I had completely forgotten all about that. *g*

In real life news, there's a new girl at the office; she seems nice. The lowest point of the day was feeling really sick in the afternoon. I thought it was either a chill, or the effect of the wine from yesterday, but after tasting the OJ I had with the wine, I think it's a little off. Oops.

High point of the day was walking ages to get cash from an ATM at lunch (for a work lunch, which was being paid for by the boss, and could someone mention that to me before I stalked halfway down Smith St? No...) and having a cute waitress smile at me as I walked past. Not an 'I'm having a good day' smile, or one of those awkward 'I should probably smile now' smile, but one of those 'I like what I see' smiles.

Yeah, I'm petty enough that a smile from a cute girl did pick up my entire day! *g*

Since I have somehow miraculously scored both the good TV connection, and a night without great static, I'm planning to watch Queer as All Get-out tonight. Since I know that you watch the series fairly religiously*,

Ooh, it's starting. I'm killing the computer, because sitting this close to the screen shows how staticy it is!

Let's admit it, regardless of the situation, Justin does well. I mean, I can see the whole sex appeal of Brian, but the Violinist is gorgeous, hot, sexy and so damn sincere. *sigh* That's the relationship that Justin should be having.

Mikey is still downright adorable...

I think my basic problem is that I still like the idea of Brian/Mikey. If brian isn't going to be happy with Mikey, he ain't gonna be happy with anyone. *g*

Did I mention I stopped by the library on the way home tonight? Was in the mood for William Gibson, instead I walked away with 7 books, none of them by William Gibson.

On the good side, Good Omens is in that stack, so I will re-read it sometime. When I do, I can explain why, even though Crowley obviously upsets [livejournal.com profile] tboy, I think that he isn't a tragic figure at all.
