Between bad digestion and that time of the month, I have a double lot of stomach cramps! I just want to curl up under my desk in the fetal position.

Don't wanna be at work. Don't wanna have to see clients.

Although, I am glad the boss is in a meeting all day so he won't be hassling me.

On a totally unrelated subject, I got the preparation pack for QC (Queer Collaborations - the week of student seminars that I'm going to in July) and it looks like fun. QC looks like it's going to be a blast. Apparently the current registration numbers are around 400!

Hey, [livejournal.com profile] baggers, you did an assignment on Riotgrrls, didn't you? What are they? I'm just curious because it mentioned that it'll be one of the discussions (on the Wednesday, I think).

Also got a reader with intriguing articles and read a couple last night. (Queer politics is one of those interesting places - I wouldn't want to live there, but it's lots of fun to visit.) A very interesting one about lesbianism and feminism, and women not defining ourselves in relation to men.

Four panadols later I'm feeling close to human. (Interesting that it hasn't even touched the headache...)

Still don't think I'll do much today.

I'm wearing my new work shirt. I'm very pleased with it. The sleeves are actually rather nice (just long enough to not be annoying, just short enough to still look fairly funky) and the sizing is very good. I was concerned about just saying 16 over the phone (esp. when the guys said they were very large sizes) since generally I'm between 14 and 18 on the top depending on the sizing, but it fits just right. Not tight across the tummy, snug across the bust without being tight, and a nice length. Nothing better than a good free present.

Okay, this rant can be clearly blamed on [livejournal.com profile] jmtorres, who mentioned her Revolutionary Girl Utena fic, Running Away, to me. (If you've seen the end of the series, go watch it. It's highly enjoyable with a very convincing Utena POV. If you haven't seen the end, why are you wasting time online when you could be watching a great series like RGU?!)

Anyway, between that fic and this rant on the feminism within RGU (Girl's Revolution:
An analysis of feminism in Shoujo Kakumei Utena
) it got me thinking... They'll be spoilers for the end of the series. Probably. )

Or, that's my five cents worth anyway. Man, that took a lot longer than I thought. I'm going to bed now to watch Fifth Element (love that film!) and tape ASH in Spooks.
