So far...

I spent a total of 33 hours awake, with most of those hours being online. I then crashed for 13 hours. (I got into bed, turned on the TV, and fell asleep before I pressed tape on the VCR. So I didn't tape Spooks last night, and I woke up to Video Hits playing at 10.30am.) Called Mum and we talked for about 4-5 hours, and now I'm back online.

And people say I don't have much variety in my life. *g*

Well, I've got the WW fic open, but that isn't a guarantee I'll work on it. I do want to reread a fic that struck me as very sad last night, but I think it was the sleep deprivation getting to me. *g*

ETA: The fic was a WW Sam/Josh: Nightblindness and it was sad. Drunk Josh, and I can't quite put my finger on it, but there was a reason it made me teary last night.

Cooked myself pasta and sauce, and steak. The two aren't connected, I ate the steak seperately, as I cooked it. I need to go shopping tomorrow, or I'll be eating pasta and sauce (and beef pesto without the veggies) all week. Not impossible, but I shouldn't.

Today must be a vocal day. Talked to mum for hours on the phone this morning, talked to Dad for about two hours this evening. Mum's getting back together with Hubby #2, which is... Well, it doesn't affect my life, so I'll try to be supportive.

I haven't even written a word on the WW fic. Can we say procrastinating? Although, while cooking, I amused myself by imagining Josh and Sam cooking a meal. I could just imagine Sam being a medium-rare type of guy, and doing my trick of eating bits of the steak as you're cooking. It would creep out Josh, who likes his meat charcoaled. (Yeah, this doesn't help the fic at all, but it amused me.)

I should go write after I eat... Hey, Te's posted more JL fic (which is not the same as "LJ fic" as I first typed *g*). *wanders off to read*

Hey, the chick on The Bill? The blonde viliianess who's an old school friend of Gina?

I think she used to be T. Bag on an old BBC kids program. Hmmm... I can remember her, and her voice, but I can't remember the name of the series. Basically, it was a girl searching for some set of magical artifacts in order to get home, while T. Bag and her sidekick (a young boy called T-Shirt) tried to steal them to use them to gain magical power.

Wow. That's a pretty detailed memory. I wonder if there's anything online about the show.

ETA: Yes, of course the 'net would have something on it. If you're curious, there were nine seasons of the show in total, and the last three featured Georgina Hale playing the villianess, Tabatha Bag.

You know, I think I've seen most of the seasons, but I remember Sally Simpkin, Tabatha Bag and T-Shirt the most. Memories recalled through help from The T-Room and TV Nostalgia: T-Bag.

Quick rec for Land of the Living. It was one of those fics where the characterisation (especially, the view of Sam) jarred me for a moment, made me stop and think. Actually, I can't deny that Sam could be that guy; I certainly can't argue against it using canon. It's just my personal feelings about Sam that say he isn't quite like this, but the author also shows examples of things that feel just like my Sam.

It's interesting reading those fics that make you think about your favourite characters and re-evaluate them. Although, this is also a very satisfying fic for other reasons. There's a strong... hmmm... Joshness to the first person POV, that shows itself in the plain language, the clear linear thoughts and the direct style of the piece. There's a detailed description of just how these two guys interact which is very believable - it's sex, politics and arguements; it's quirks, hang ups, and daily routines; it's driving each other crazy and quiet unspoken compromises.

It's different, both in format and in ideas. Highly enjoyable.

Well, in the spirit of rec'ing Sam/Josh fics, check out A Bluer Ocean also by Abigale. Basically, Sam and Josh pay a brief visit to Josh's mom. It's a lovely fic, sweet and surprisingly touching, told from Josh's mom's POV.

It's just... if you're in the mood to go "aw..." and smile fondly, read this.

ETA: "Seaborn To Be Wiiiiiiiiiiild."

*chortles* If you don't know what I'm talking about, go read Seaborn for America. It's a classic.
