Le sigh.

It's the start of the new year and I'm feeling the lack of TV, people. My current favourite shows are Smallville, Farscape, The O.C., Angel and West Wing. Of these five series, two are screening the last season over here, and the other three are no where on my TV. (Sports Night is a fave too, but it's not being screened anywhere else, so it doesn't count.)

So, pity party, table for one!

Oh, all Melbourne slashers? I'm going to hold a movie night at my place (Altona) on Saturday, 7th of February, to celebrate the pure prettiness of Rob Lowe. Okay, well, I have a feeling that "View from the Top" will be so bad I'll need to mock it with someone, but it's still a good excuse for a get-together.

If I can get the videos, I'll also show "Framed" (which is kinda slashy, and surprisingly good) and "Masquerade" (for the pure shock value of John Glover without a beard).

I'll discuss it further on the mailing list, or by email, so let me know if you wanna come.

Why am I online before work? Got up to check on the SV tinyvision episodes. So far, no Asylum.

Le sigh.

There are some great drabbles over on [livejournal.com profile] sn100, but [livejournal.com profile] allcanadiangirl's little AU (the drugs not working) really got to me. I love AU's that you'd never considered before. I love AU fics that make me stop and think, and slowly realise that this is highly possible. If you can do it in 100 words, I'm really impressed.

I'm listening to Willard Grant's "The Work Song", which is totally inappropriate as I called in sick today. I actually spent the day lounging around watching S2 SN with the lil' bro. Unbelievably, I'm still a bit tired. But I'd like to write a little more SN before I go to bed.

You know what's nice when you're tired? Reading a familiar fic that makes you laugh. For some reason, I never quite buy the Danny and Casey in Djibouti (by Caroline Baker and Fox) and yet I still like the fic. It makes me giggle and I'm always fond of smut.

Meanwhile, I'm linking this for future reference. The book of cliches. These are going to turn up in a SN fic sometime soon.
