Where are those cold'n'flu tablets...?

Okay, off to work (since I have Thursday adn Friday off for study leave, I figure I should try to show up for two days this week).

Am concentrating on Not Thinking about the work that was due this morning. Am also concentrating on dragging my lazy butt to the shower.

I'm still vaguely thinking about changing my online name. It's a thought that's occured to me a couple times over the last few weeks. I tend to list my stories under, basically, my real name.

Not that I expect anyone to be bothered googling my name, but...

Yeah, total vague worry. (I think it's just excess exam stress.) I could change my name, but it would mean changing my site, and contacting about four or five different archives to change it there, and maybe double checking all competitions/challenges that I've responded to. Which would be a lot of work but the thing that makes me stop is that I'd need to change my email address too. Otherwise it's still damn obvious.

I like my email address. I don't change email addresses easily or wantonly. So, yeah, I don't think I'll be changing my name.

All the same, this led to me googling it. Huh.

I think it's a rec (in Chinese?) for my Schindler's List fic. Huh.

Mind you, I also found out that two of my fics were nominated for the Josh/Sam award for the Jeds. Huh again. Well, considering that I never vote in that contest, it shouldn't be surprising that the nominations surprised me. Um, that did make sense inside my own head.

Okay, I think I'd better stop typing before I say anything even more stupid.

Do you ever have a fic that you're just not sure who it's about? I'm stuck with that at the moment. I started writing, but... it just couldn't decide if it Sam/Josh or Dan/Casey. (Does it help that at least I'm sure it's Sorkin?)

Oh, really?

So, apparently, I don't get study leave. That's right. Apparently, it's just my annual leave (and, if I'd known that, screw you Workplace, I would have taken off more than four days for two exams).

I just found out that the study leave is only applicable for post-graduate, occupational courses (like CPA or the PY for ICAA), not for university degrees.

Officially? I'm taking this as a good little worker and not causing a fuss.

Unofficially? When I get back from leave, when I'm no longer sick, when I no longer have exams hanging over my head, I'm going to be irritatingly pedantic about getting that confirmed in writing.

I'm going home now. I couldn't get all the stuff finished, but screw it (not like they're paying me study leave, anyway).

I have four days to study, and then two days of exams. Since my self-control when online is similar to that of an alcoholic at Oktoberfest, I'll be offline. I'm kicking myself off email, AIM and LJ. (If you see me around, feel free to kick my behind.)
