out_thereHad an appointment witht the dental surgeon yesterday (I don't know if I've just been lucky, but lately every dentist I go to is a really gentle guy... I no longer have excuses for avoiding them). Found out that the removal of my wisdom teeth will be a day surgery and will require a week to get over (and for the first three days, my lower jaw could sweel and has a small chance of being temporarily paralyzed! @.@). It'll also cost around $1700, so thank heavens for parents willing to pay for medical costs!
Right now, I'm waiting for the surgeon's admin girl, Cathy, to call me re: an appointment time. They have a patient who managed to be booked in twice, so I might be able to get in on either the 15th or 16th of January. On the good side, this will mean only five more weeks of constant panedol and aspirin (Yay!), on the bad side, I'm supposed to start my new job on the 13th of January. Is it bad form to start a job by asking for a week of sick leave? I'll contact the new boss once I have a final date and time of my appointment.
