You are The Cabin Boy
You, me lad, are an activist! You will not only change the world, you will make a dyed-in-the-wool Pirate dream of you in a sheep costume. You are the embodiment of the love that dare not hoist its sail! Ahoy thar! You could make a two-patch Pirate turn his head - but then he would lose sleep over it and what good would that do anyone? An innovator, you are WAY ahead of your time - and everyone else's. You are sensitive and artsy-fartsy. You say things like, "artsy-fartsy" but there is always a slight giggle in your voice when you say it - like Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares delivering a staggering punch line. Speaking of "punching" the only "punching" you would do is punching up that outfit with some accessories - say, a little bandana and some glass beads. You're not the Pirate we want in a fight, but we want you there for the crying game that follows! You go, girl.

The love that dare not hoist its sail? Bwahahaha!

You are... 'Damn, I think I might have gone a
little heavy on the eyeliner today.' It's
okay, you're still sexy. You know that, we
know that, everybody knows that. You are
Captain Jack Sparrow, so, of course, everybody
loves you... well... not everybody....
actually, a lot of people don't like you...
but... damn, you sure are sexy. With or
without the eyeliner.
What random made up thought from Pirates of the Caribbean are you?

*looks at icon* Hee!
The interesting thing about seeing PoTC twice in one day was the difference in the atmosphere from the crowd. Mid-afternoon Saturday crowd enjoyed the humour and there was much laughing happening and people laughed at most of the scenes. When I saw it again that evening, it was full of the date crowd and the most the any of the scenes got was a low level of sniggering. (Seriously, almost everyone was in pairs. I mean, what is it about PoTC that screams "great date flick"... As I joked to my brother, it's got action for the guys, romance for the girls, and swordfighting skeletons for both. Of course, it could also be that it stars pretty boys and a pretty girl.)
Still, I loved it. If someone asked me to again this week? I'd be scrimping on my food bill (to afford the ticket) and heading straight to the cinema. Love that film.
Two of my favourite scenes were the rum scene (Why is the rum gone?) and Gibbs telling the tall tale of Jack's island escape. I love the way that's it's so obviously a tall tale, but even more, I love Will's little impersonation of Jack. Made me crack up each time.
Meanwhile, I'm thinking about making a "Seperated at birth" icon for Jack and Bernard, except for the fact that obviously not seperated at birth. Still, I now have the utmost convinction that Bernard's family tree includes Jack in there somewhere. I think I'm going to go rustle up some Black Books on tape, and sit down and laugh at the idea of Bernard as a pirate and Jack as a book-store owner.
*sigh* I need more people to have watched both to get the similarity.
